I think he will say nice things about all the clubs but not sure which one he will complement.

    Wallabies v Fiji, Canberra

Barnes will be captaining the Barbarians team one would think. I don't like the idea of having AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Ioane on the wings as they are too similar - would have preferred Mitchell / Hynes / Turner on one of the wings. There are too many seagulls in the forward pack for mine - hopefully Sharpe...

S14: Final - North vs South Soweto

Well done to the Bulls in winning back-to-back titles. Hopefully next year will see a new team enter the winners circle of S12/4/5 champions.

Chris hickey - greatest coach of 2010 (and other awards)

Spoken like a true back. Scrummaging is everything when it comes to picking prop forwards, work around the park is a bonus. If a prop can dominate the scrum he can sap energy off his opposite number and if the team scrummages well they can force the opposition to waste energy in the scrums.

    Wallabies announced

How in the world did Hoiles make it back into the Wallaby mix? Hasn't Robbie learnt from the past. Super rugby (especially with this year's rules) suits him, he is not up to test rugby as at that level you need more graft than fancy ball players in the forwards. The same goes for Edmonds - the...

    The Hickey Must go thread

Have to say I agree with Naza. Plus if he goes through with it then it will show he is willing to learn from his mistakes.

    My little rant (Giteau)

Re: My little rant I suggested it several years ago (back when we were all over at TSF) and was ridiculed for it. He would be very good at puting the Wallabies on the counter attack where there is more space for him to work in.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Haven't really thought about it yet, just didn't think Gits deserved to be in the team on form. As for his replacements A Finger would be first choice (raw I know but works well with Quade), with either T Smith, Cross or Carter as other possibilities. I think Quade would work better for the Wobs...

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Serious question. Why is everyone automatically assuming Gitteau will be the 12? His form this year has been average and he has failed to turn up in all the big games the Brumbies have played (IMHO)?

Waratahs v Hurricanes, SFS - Revenge of the Dell

If the 'tahs play like that in the white jersey with the flowers all over it can they wear that jersey every week. They finally played lke a team that could win the whole shebang. Now all they have to do is repeat it and lift another gear or three to do it in Sth Africa.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Think the two games this weekend will have a huge bearing on Wallaby selections. What better way to prove that you are good enough to play for the Wallabies than in a sudden-death final round S14 match? The other two matches whilst not having a bearing on the semis will be just as intriguing as...

Gaven Warren - is he the kid that EJ (Eddie Jones) threw into S14 prematurely at 19yrs old? Is he still in the Academy or has he been dropped?

    Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series

I'm hoping to get to the Oz BaaBaa game at Grahame Park (or whatever they call it now - think it is Bluetongue). If my wife lets me out for the night though :frans

Tell us what you really think, Grumbles!

L'Estrange is the CEO, the guy from Pepsi was the Chairman of the board. The CEO before L'Estrange was Gary Flowers (who took over after the ARU bailed the 'tahs out of debt). Agree on the board members having hidden agendas. Does anyone know how they are elected?

mungos want to ban converts from playing again (yeeeess, gooood, goooogd)

I put the " " around amatuer for just that reason. Sorry, subtlety is not one of my strong points.

IRB U/20 Tournament and Oz Squad

Re: Oz U20 squad Not to mention a while back a bloke named Tony Daley started at Wests before being poached by the scum in green as well as a mighty Reds prop by the name of Matt Ryan. Didn't Topo play for Wests when he arrived from Argentina?

mungos want to ban converts from playing again (yeeeess, gooood, goooogd)

The difference was rugby was "amatuer" and league players were paid. Rugby as an "amatuer" sport would not allow professionals into its ranks, no matter what sport in which they earnt their money. Hence the life bans on any player turning professional. If league choose to go down this path good...

    Highlanders v Waratahs. Invercargill.

Does anyone know why Ben Coridas hasn't been given a run in the 'tahs S14 side? He has been in the squad for a few years now and played for the JWs but hasn't cracked the big time. Training / off-field issues or hasn't done enough for JWs?
