South Africa vs Wales ,Kings Park, 14th June

Yes well it appears Meyer would prefer to bring back tried and tested boks rather than blood new players so i expect he'll just walk back into the side when he wants to. That comments a bit tongue and cheek but also true. Amazing to think there is still 10 of the 22 players from the 2007 Boks...

ARU should have a look at Karmichael Hunt?

Loves the contact. Would be a welcome addition to the Reds, at the right price.

    Don't rate him?

South Africa vs Wales ,Kings Park, 14th June

All sounds a bit messy. I hope they sort it out before 2015. I'd like to see Steyn play in the WC.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

I don't think Link or anyone expects Skelton will play a significant role for the Wallabies in 2014, but I'm sure Link thinks he has the potential to play a significant role next year. That means including him in the team set up, introducing him to our systems and giving him a few chances to get...

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

really? I'll have to take your word on that because I just dont know the teams well enough. England definitely outplayed us last week and both SA and the Kiwis looked pretty strong

    Aussie Player Exodus

They should seriously be looking at the idea of player sabbaticals to keep players like Izzy. Let him go to Toulon or Japan for a season and get paid buckets of cash and then let him come back to aus and continue his career. Some players are worth finding compromises to keep them in the fold.

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

I'm actually really looking forward to the NZ v Bok game. The first one was pretty darn entertaining for a neutral supporter and the rematch could be even better. I hope the Kiwis have been working round the clock to fix their line-out. They were totally outclassed in that area by SA last week...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

i would imagine that last week's entertaining performance, coupled with the fact that a few rebels players have been added to the 23, should increase the expected crowd by at least a few thousand.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

I think Phipps's style of play lends himself to being an effective bench halfback. Very quick service, loves a sniping run, rarely kicks the ball. Well suited if your team is chasing the game. If Link wants to use him on the bench, i cant get too upset. But I really hope that Link does have...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

I agree. The changes im suggesting would basically be isolated to the bench spots. And to be honest its arguable that those players should already be in the 23. Genia, Higgers, Sio, skelton and Horne all have their supporters and all 4 are likely to be a part of the world cup squad (Horne's WC...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

The decision to choose Weeks over Ryan is why im such a fan of Link as coach. I asked for that exact change but i honestly thought i was asking too much to expect Link to go for a player outside of the squad. Link knows whats best for the team and couldn't give a shit if people's feelings are...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

No Genia is the only selection i dont like. I could understand if Phipps played well off the bench last week but he was pretty poor.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Yes physically he has the tools. He's over 120kg and appears to be quite powerful but his scrummaging technique is so poor. I think it would have been a cruel mistake to continue to chose the bloke at test level. he could end up permanently tainted. He needs a few years to work on his technique...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

I like the side. Looks like Link has been reading the posts on this thread calling for Weeks to be brought in ahead of Ryan. I hope he goes well!

    Don't you mean 2007?

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

i expect all of Kuridrani, Speight, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), and Cummins will play a role in the team over the next 12-18 months. As to who starts and who is on the bench its too hard to say at the moment. On current form you wouldn't replace/move any of the outside back. On face value Speight is probably our more...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

JOC (James O'Connor) definitely wants to be a part of the world cup, but the last thing he wants is to return to aus rugby and miss WC selection altogether. He must know its a possibility at this stage, unless Link is continuing a dialogue with him, which I doubt it. JOC (James O'Connor) was a player of the Deans era. Link is...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Honestly if all of Speight, Cummins, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), McCabe and Tomane are fit and eligible to play at the World Cup, JOC (James O'Connor) could miss out on a spot in the squad. Team culture is definitely an important ingredient in Link's wallabies. I'd take cummins on the wing ahead of JOC (James O'Connor) currently (even if JOC (James O'Connor) is a more...
