Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

A red card results in the offender's dismissal from the game, then the offender has to front a tribunal and faces an appropriate length of time on the sideline. No argument from me. However, as much as the whole game tries to make itself safer, incidents like this will continue to happen...

Absolutely right. There is nothing worse than beating the buggers when they are down a man. Maybe that is the real meaning of the "no win situation"!

I also thought both decisions were okay, the officials take enough time to make their minds up these days, it is unlikely that they would all be wrong. My neighbour is normally pretty realistic about rugby, but he was pretty cranky.

My Kiwi neighbour is ropable, told me that those were both soft reds, neither should have been given, and "that's the reason people are watching the NRL and AFL". My own personal opinion (and I know we have covered this elsewhere pretty fully) is that a red should remove the offending player...

He really stepped up, I thought. Very pleasing to see him perform like this, I for one was in favour of bringing Latu back, now I am sure we have the hookers here that we need for the long haul.

On a second viewing, gee I was impressed by some of the work that BPA did.

Finegan was combative, without being overly aggressive.

The most bizarre sporting series of any kind comes to an appropriate end. The ABs were unrecognisable against a patched up, improvised, Wallabies side. Still cannot believe it, let alone understand it.

Tuqiri was far better than Sailor. Koro is better than both of them, I reckon, does a helluva lot more work off the ball, and he is in a comparatively weaker team. Folau had some big flaws

They give RA their quids, and rugby survives as a pro sport. /quo

Ramm at 15 is interesting. Very happy to see Edmed on the bench. First step up the long ladder for him, I tip him to make it to the top.

That's so crazy, it might just work!!! Or maybe not.:)

    Shute Shield 2020

We used to have South Harbour v North Harbour. I wonder what the players would think about suiting up again?

Errr. It does help a bit that they are white males.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Their domestic competition is lot tougher than ours, that might be part of the reason.

Newsflash: Shute Shield players get paid shock!!!

    Shute Shield 2020

The biggest difference between the two teams was that Gordon looked threatening in attack and we didn't. I reckon they would have won notwithstanding the rather strange procession of scrum penalties.

    Dan Palmer

We have come a long way in a relatively short period of time - although Dan's journey was very recent. So things are still not where they should be.
