    Wallabies 2020

I hope somebody is having a close look at Eastwood player Ed Craig (played a huge game on Saturday, think he was still on the field at the end of 100 minutes - whatever, he kept a struggling scrum together, and was great with ball in hand all day. His throwing was good too); also Tane Edmed.

    Shute Shield 2020

I missed the first 30 minutes (I was in the gym) - I might be wrong, but I cannot remember either side actually getting very far over their opponents 22! Thrilling is not the adjective I would choose. Frustrating?

    Shute Shield 2020

We were watching it live on SevenPlus and they showed the whole 100 minutes. To be brutally frank, there was nothing in the last 5 minutes that was very different to the rest of the game.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

If he is selected, he will will have a lot to prove. Presumably he will only be selected if has shed a few kgs, I reckon he could do okay.

    Shute Shield 2020

We gave them a scare a couple of weeks ago. We can give them another scare.

    Shute Shield 2020

Mmmm. I have seen better games in worse conditions.

    Shute Shield 2020

Not a good day to be the goal-kicker, for sure. I did not watch the whole game, but I thought you killed us in the lineout. Agree wholeheartedly. Still cannot believe we got there. I have to say that it was not a very good advertisement for club rugby.

    Shute Shield 2020

We stole it in the end, not because of one isolated refereeing decision, by the way. Norths were all over us, particularly at the lineout, and really should have won it. Anyway, I reckon we can beat Gordon, although I still cannot believe we got there.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I doubt that any FTA channel would bid for rights if they were contractually required to show the game on the main channel.

    Shute Shield 2020

The Gordon coach is "looking forward to meeting Norths in the final", according to today's SMH. Something about being neighbours. Well, guess what, Gordon and Eastwood are neighbours, too.

    Shute Shield 2020

It is scheduled on 7TWO at 3 pm today. Pretty sure that it is also on 7Plus.

Refusing to play, or watch, the Springboks when they were all white was divisive. Correct?

    Shute Shield 2020

Well done, the Highlanders!!! Three North Harbour teams left now. What a pity we no longer have North Harbour v South Harbour.

    Wallabies 2020

Really? That's what the apologists used to say about playing an all white Springboks team. How do you "keep politics out"? As bad a name as politicians get, and sometimes deserve, our peaceful and prosperous way of life, such as it is, is underpinned by the rule of law - i.e. "politics"...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

It is not just "100+ years of community involvement" by other sports, it is also our sport's record of many years of actual or perceived indifference, if not actual discrimination. Not just here, but in most if not all places where our sport was played, it was perceived as a game for middle to...

    Shute Shield 2020

It would be, the Easts fullback against Eastwood in the last game was pretty ordinary. Maddocks would be a class above.

    Wallabies 2020

According to an article I read recently, he announced at the age of 5 or so that he wanted to be a Wallaby. Presumably he has had a genuine interest in the game from an early age, an interest that those around him shared and nurtured.
