They are 24/25 So neither in 20's squad. I wonder how the Rebels heard about them :)

Hong Kong Sevens - 7-9 April

Why? If the margin is more than 7 when the bell goes, who gives a shit? (Punters excluded, but if everyone does it, no harm no foul...) I don't understand why it's not the prevailing attitude throughout the comp.

Haha, as if he has ever gone out there to watch a SS game ...........

    Shute Shield 2017

Well done Marlins, and thank you Sportsbet $2.50 was too good to pass up :) Big success at Gordon today ! Very healthy crowd, seemed like most were spending more than the foregone gate money. The locals won 4's, had 3's stolen from them after the bell, then things got progressively worse.

    Shute Shield 2017

Works for me! Please take this the right way, they are not sacrificing much. It was a very small crowd in the corresponding game last year. Hopefully this will entice a reasonable crowd tomorrow.

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

And AFL is not played in many Schools. Yet their policy (similar to Hockey on steroids) is to give kids exposure to their sport at School, and hope they join local clubs. Both codes are growing exponentially.

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

It's not a myth. Most if not all GPS Schools have a policy of not "allowing" students to play additional games. The MIC of one GPS School told me of their policy of dropping kids to 3's if they were "caught" playing for clubs. There was the fiasco at Another GPS School , when a high profile...

    Waratahs 2017

Oh really? Who were the up and comers that were preferred to him? The sky is falling in, not because the choices are always between a Waugh/Smith It's because they continually sign players that aren't ready for years to come. As an aside, Meakes was locked up months before Simone appeared on the...

Everyone raves about the ball skill of this squad. Conceding only 6 tries in 17? Games is not too shabby!

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

The Schools not even bothered about the strength of their 6 or 7 team comp, just as long as they are winning..... Until the ARU steps in with a big stick, the Schools will continue cannibalising other Schools and village clubs. But as the board & the CEO all grew up thinking GPS is the centre...

    Round 7: Hurricanes v Waratahs - Friday 5:30pm

It tells you how the squad is going, when all the debate is about the shortcomings of players that have been selected. As opposed to Arguing about the value adds of players you think should have been selected..... Next year!

    Round 7: Hurricanes v Waratahs - Friday 5:30pm

If Gibson isn't expecting the big unit to play 80, he is a fool to select him. Obviously Hegarty is cover for 10, I would argue that Horwitz could be that cover.I doubt Hegarty would get more than dead minutes at 15, barring injury to Izzie, or a massive blowout on the scoreboard. Kellaway could...

    Round 7: Hurricanes v Waratahs - Friday 5:30pm

I doubt positional cover is the driver for this selection. there is plenty of cover with Simone/Kellaway on the bench. Seems to me,he has lost faith in Simone. It's hard to suggest Hegarty played his way back into the match day squad, with his performance for Norths last week.

    Test ticket prices

That may be correct for a Neil Diamond concert. Not so much for Rugby. If you are purchasing platinum tickets for a bled game, you're not even looking at bronze prices. Look at the Tahs GF as the best indicator. Bronze tickets were very cheap in comparison to platinum tickets. That worked out ok.

I agree that the platinum tickets will get sold. The market will tell you that the cheap seats are overpriced. Otherwise it would be a sellout.

If they were smart, in addition to allowing the grassroots to purchase tickets early (which is no big deal for an event that won't sell out) They would give a say 20% discount, to the grassroots. It would probably be revenue neutral, with more grassroots participants more likely to buy theses...

    Round 6: Waratahs v Crusaders - Sunday 2 April 2017 4pm

Yes he was, although Hegarty has been poor. There seemed to be a high number of turnovers in this game, which usually means lots of 1/2 opportunities for the 10. I really only noticed one nice ball that led to a try, and 2 unsuccessful chip kicks. But he chased much harder than Horwitz and...

    Round 6: Waratahs v Crusaders - Sunday 2 April 2017 4pm

By the same token,he showed nothing to suggest he's outstanding either. I hope the kid succeeds, but right now I doubt strongly he is better than the guys mentioned. I'm sure he'll get game time in SS where we can see him go head to head with some of these guys.

They will probably sell out platinum tickets regardless, but $91 for the worst seats? #Optimistic!
