    Brumbies 2011

It doesn't work this way anyway. There is still a 15 team table with 3 semi spots up for grabs outisde of the winners on each pool. It's likely that the 3 pool winners will be in Top 6 anyway, so the Top 6 teams will most likely make the semis. I am predicting the Brumbies to finish 7th to...

    Brumbies 2011

Looks like a long season with a mid-table finish for the Brumbies again. Not much quality beyond Moore and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

    Best Referees In The World

A good referee will apply a material effect test to the Laws. The best referees will get this right most often.

    Best Referees In The World

No but he was dropped from Super Rugby in 2010 and has not been re-selected for 2011. Australia have Dickinson and Walsh on the 2011 S15 Panel and Ian Smith and Nathan Pearce on the Reserves list.

    Best Referees In The World

It is my understanding that the IRB will take 10 referees to RWC. Interestingly 10 referees hae been selected for this year's 6 Nations. They are B.Lawrence, Walsh (NZ), Rollaind, Clancy (Ire), Kaplan, Joubert (SA), Barnes, Pearson (Eng), Owens (Wal) & Poite (Fra). Unless there is a stuff-up...

    Shute Shield 2011

I can confirm that the points apply no matter which country that you play Super Rugby for.

    Name the game

Andrew Walker is often blamed for this as it was his wing but my memory of the incident was that Jason Little was defending on the wing and came in. Can someone who has watched it recently confirm who the final defender was?

    Shute Shield 2011

Assumptions Uni will retain Greg Mumm Easts will retain Lachlan Fear Definite Parra have a new coach in Glenn Christini Penrith would like to retain Matt Briggs but I guess it depends if he will travel to Penrith again.

    Waratahs 2011

I agree there are others but Sipa has signed with the Rebels, Mafi did a deal with the Force some time ago despite the recent announcement and DHP has gone to France.

Do we really need a playmaker @ 12?

I'd like to see Horne play.

    Rank our props

Dan Palmer - I don't think you can judge him against the others until he is regular starter in super rugby team. It seems highly unlikely that he will start ahead of Maafu at the Brumbies this year. Plus his game is not suited to super rugby as he has many deficiencies in the other parts of...

    Western Force 2011

Fairbanks' club form was not good. I would now rate him behind Sidey and Dellit and would hope that these 2 will get bench spots before Fairbanks.

Wallabies v Wales G&GR player of the year

Only as their No 7 got away with murder last night.

    Brumbies 2011

Are you confusing Dave McDuling and Sam Carter?

No Lewis Holland? I thought Luani was going to League???

    Citing?

Citings are only for offences that the citing commissioner considers should have been Red Cards. There is no such thing as a retrospective Yellow Card. Both late offences were Yellow Cards IMO - so no citing. I thought it was good refereeing from AR to play on quickly - I think the Wallabies...

Will anyone beat the Crusader in 2011?

Did they recruit Adam Thompson as well? How many of their stars will sit out for large rests during the season as it is a RWC year?

Japanese Rugby, the real elephant in the room?

Tatupu has left the Force. He had some very poor games defensively this year and was dropped from the 22 early in the season.

Scrum Engagement Management - BLOODY HELL!

In the S14 this year, the referees who used the slower clall in general got the better results.

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

I am not the biggest Chisholm fan but he had a great night at the defensive lineout, which really disrupted the ABs. I don't understand the obsession with Turner.
