    Shute Shield 2010

Kepu has been scrummaging well all year. He gave Souths (one of the better scrums) and Nic Henderson a very tough day at Forshaw this year.

    Shute Shield Points System

No, this does not change his points when he plays. A third party sponsor who is linked to Balmain played a critical role in bringing him to the Tahs.

    Shute Shield 2010

In the situation Lee is describing, he is referring to an arriving player who legally gets his hands on the ball while it is still a tackle. When it becomes a ruck, he is allowed to continue using his hands as he got his hands on the ball while it is still a tackle as opposed to new arriving...

All 4 grand finals are at Concord on October 2nd.

    Shute Shield 2010

IMO Eastwood and Manly have teams to challenge them but not Souths. The addition of Barnes will make them hard to beat. He was great today.

and do people think it is a good thing that there are huge number of players (about 50 First Grade players in 2010) transferring between clubs?

    Shute Shield Points System

I think the more interesting question is what will they do until the end of June next year. If they had to wait another month for their players this year, would they have made the semis?

The rule is actually 3 S14 games. Dennis has not played a Test.

Fainga'a turned 19 in March - Hooper turns 19 next month (7 months difference)

    Shute Shield Points System

The difference between Alfi Mafi and Dave Dennis is as at 1 Jan this year, Dennis had not played S14 or Test rugby, so he was still considered a First Grade level player ie Mafi 16 - 5 = 1 and Dennis 10-5 = 5. In fact, many of Uni's players (eg Jerry, Tilese, Charles, Dennis, Cutch, McCal...

    Shute Shield Points System

The points system applies to all matches inclusing finals. There is a cap in First and Second Grade and First and Seconds Colts. The system is designed to help with the distribution of talent around the clubs (although more from preventing a team from becoming too strong than supporting a...

There is a 5 point discount but only in your first year with the club.

Nathan Pearce has done 2 ITM Cup games in the last 3 weeks.

I don't believe so - I can't find it on the Tahs website.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

I am hearing that Rory Sidey could be headed to Melbourne. Probably a good move as I think the Rebels are light on in the centres particularly if Mortlock doesn't play much.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championship 2010

Also is there anyone who could play S15 next year?

Australian Schoolboys & National Championship 2010

Lee, can you tell me what is the current policy re commiting to rugby? Is Luani going to league in 2011? Would this have prevented him from touring in the past? PS. All OK now

    Shute Shield Points System

I think clubs sign good Colts beacuse they become their Grade stars of tomorrow. However there is a cap of 50 points at Colts 1 which prevents teams from acquiring lots of school rep players. U11-U17 Juniors do count.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Ben Alexander has played parts of the last 2 Eastwood games and we will see him on TV next weekend when Eastwood will most likely face Uni (assuming Uni and Manly win this weekend). I heard TPN is a long shot as he has not started running yet and Cliffy is out.

    Shute Shield Points System

The points system is based on what category of player you were at the start of the current calendar year ie if you played S14 in 2010 for the first time, you are not yet considered a S14 player. First Grade Teams are allowed 140 points. Points work as follows: Wallaby - 20 points S14 -...
