I hope the Bulldogs can kick off the season with a win tomorrow. With Tim Smith starting I'd say we have an edge in the halves and with Sanday switching to loose head (with no Paraka & Campbell) and Richards/Horamia in Easts front row we might also have the edge at scrum time. We will get a...

$4 for Wests is pretty inviting.

I think some of these are ridiculous e.g. how could Bond and Easts be at these respective prices after round 1? And Wests who are undefeated after round 1 are @ $34????

Sounds about right it's been a long time between drinks v Easts. I would love a TT review of the Tigers effort last week v Bond. Let's hope the Dogs can start 2016 with a win.

Maybe the wooden spooners will come from the south side after all.

Tough road trip to Robina for the Tigers by these results. I get the impression that others clubs will find Bond a tough day out in 2016. GPS 25 Snbk 30 FT in Prems - that should give the boys from Yoku Rd some encouragement. Uni 20 Souths 30 FT. Great result for the Magpies.

Dizzle I honestly believe it is the most open comp in years so competition for the spoon will also be interesting. I think you and your GPS contributors have been the ones pushing GPS chances under the radar, but it would be naive of the rest of us to right off anyone at this stage...

What will be the market for the spoon? I won't name a club for the sake of not offending anyone but I do think that the wooden spooners will come from the northern side of the river.

Is is always harder staying at the top than the journey to the top - that is why you rarely see back to back Olympic champions.

Didn't Tim Sampson take a role coaching in Canberra this year? Maybe Sampson, Heenan, Picone, etc might be the answer for the Reds in 2017? At least these guys have runs on the board.

For me Filth "game of the round" would be the Wests bye.

I didn't get out to Kenmore yesterday but what happened in the trials around the various grounds?

I don't know how politically the Scotney koo would come about because the Reds are a political organisation and that another former Tiger - Jason Gilmore- might be next in line.

I have heard that if Richard Graham gets the boot by Easter that his old Easts teammate and former Red - Andrew Scotney - might come into a void. Theory is that Matt O'Connor would move into the head coaching role and Scotney would come in as the backs coach. I hope that the Reds can turn it...

Filth not 100% sure on Easts I think they are really going to miss Mullins & Brandon. And I think Sunnybank may struggle to make the 4 - they are really going to miss McIntyre and by the time they get their Reds back their season maybe done and dusted. As good as Souths were in the latter...

SX I like you are hoping for the best but I think the Doggies will finish 5th or 6th. I can't see GPS, Bros & Bond all making the cut. Of those 3 I think Bond would be favoured.
