Hodge will be in the 23. He is playing well. I think he would be a safer and better option than Banks. Apart from anything else, he has a degree of versatility that Banks does not, he can play anywhere in the backs except 9. That is worth a lot, I reckon.

Super Rugby Rnd 7: Rebels v Reds

I would not like to be in charge of logistics for the Soup at the moment.

Would you choose the Tahs gig?

    Waratahs 2021

I am pretty sure Manenti is not in it for the money.

John Manenti might be an option. He has a gig at the moment, Womens' Sevens. I know which one I would choose. :)

I read somewhere that one of Eddie Jones' key player metrics is the speed with which they get up after a collision.

Has anybody mentioned the absence through injury of Jake Gordon? Is that Penney's fault? He has inherited a dreadful list, and then had some horrible luck.

I am not in the habit of defending the Tahs, but at the time that BPA and Fainga'a were around, the Tahs had a full roster of contracted hookers. Newsome is bog standard, for sure. But then so are most of the team.

So the answer to the lack of guts in the piggies is to throw in a new 10?

His kick off last week was terrible. That might not be harsh enough, actually.

He was a "schoolboy star" par excellence, wasn't he? Maybe he will unleash some of that potential, finally.

They could have done a lot worse than pulling Pat Sio into the squad, IMHO.

Anstee is a long way from making the next level (other than in Sevens, of course). The first thing he would need to do is to work on his physique, change shape from being a Sevens player to being a Fifteens player.

Yeah, but, but. You're not an Eastwood supporter, are you?

Jones? Eddie Jones???? RU serious? No thanks.

    Retiring hurt.

Anstee looks taller and quicker, to me, than any of those. Dreaming I know, but he could just be the closest we will get to our own Maro Itoje. Wouldn't that be good.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The Keewees are not very happy about Mr Potatohead calling the deportees "trash". The Tories need to get it through their heads that a lot of their electoral support in NSW and particularly QLD comes us rah rahs. We need the cuzzy bros more now than in normal times.

Easts absolutely dominated that game for long stretches. Eastwood's captain, Tom Murphy (7) saved our skins when he pulled off a miracle tackle in the last seconds.

mst, The Shute Shield is what it is because it has a lot of grass-roots support.
