    Don't forget Arvid as well.

    Waratahs 2013

Would love to see the Waratahs find a way for individual clubs to sell tickets to 'tahs games with $5 from each ticket (and similar proportion for family or member tickets) kept in the clubs. It would go a long way with a lot of clubs with the problems of finding and keeping sponsors in the...

    Link or White?

Alan Jones. As a coach he is the best "salesman" available and we need someone capable of selling rugby to the masses.

    The NSWRU Board

He's also on the board of the NSWRU not the Waratahs which Bruce pointed out was responsible for the running of the professional body. Would personally like to see the board voted in by the stakeholders - 6 person board - one position selected by country clubs, 1 position by city clubs, 1 by...

    Shute Shield 2012

Noticed that rugby heaven have now got highlights for club rugby up on their website. I think this is a good development and they should be commended for it, I wonder though if it is in response to the G&GR 3rd teir campaign?

    IS OUR GAME GROWING?

I know on the Central Coast (NSW) that the code is struggling with half the clubs failing to field a 3rd grade team this year. Back in the mid-90s there was a 4th grade competition. Most junior grades only have 3 or 4 teams at most and some clubs only have 3 junior teams in total. IMHO there is...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I can see you point of view and concede you do have a point (I had a stinger injury in my final season and no how scary they can be) I proposed this law change as too often you see teams attempting to slow the game down at set piece time through what can be described as 'convenient' injuries. I...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Maybe change it to be that they can be assisted to the sideline for treatment. My point is if the medical staff are claiming they can't be moved to the sideline for some reason (neck) then they must be replaced immediately as a duty of care.

    Horwill gone for 2012

This makes Deans' decision not to select a specialist lock on the bench even more short-sighted with the impending retirement of Nathan Sharpe. He could use the last two tests against the Welsh to blood one of the young locks off the bench before the commencement of TRC. I don't want the...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I like the laws the way they are but want stricter enforcement of the ruck, such as yellow cards issued for any ruck infringements aimed at slowing down play whenever a team has front foot ball or for multiple infringements by the same player or team. Scrums - halfbacks have to feed into...

funny the difference using reserves makes as Welsh have improved since Howley's wholesale change.... Robbie's made 2 changes (one forced).

Channel 9 continues the tradition of absymal free to air rugby coverage...

That and the fact it is on a Tuesday night and people have to get up for work early in the morning. So chances are most people won't be able to watch it until after work the next day - good luck avoiding the score / comments in that regard. I am ticked off as there are only a handful of...

Channel 9 continues the tradition of absymal free to air rugby coverage...

Well that's easy, if you want NIne to show rugbyh live in future don't watch the block this Tuesday! An email bombardment of Stephen Conroy's office may yield some results (they need all the popularity they can get). email: mailto:senator.conroy@aph.gov.au phone: (03) 9391 4952 or 03...

    Waratahs 2013

Jim Carmichael, the QRU CEO has a background in AFL. Maybe that is an area where the NSWRU should look when the position next becomes available.

    Shute Shield 2012

For the Parra supporters on here - how old is the halfback from Saturday, Grech? Had a very good pass which is missing in at least one OZ S15 franchise.

What is wrong with the Tahs

The loss of Muggleton has hurt the 'tahs more than anyone could have realised. Who is the new defence coach?

Eddie Jones to replace John Kirwan?!?

or you join a great club like the Typhoons to go on tour with the Tequila Mockingbirds! (not that my wife ever gave me leave to tour, but it was great playing for the 'phoons)

Essay on importance of a direct inside centre

I read this and my mind flashed back to Johannesburg (?) 2003 and watching poor Steve Kefu getting smashed repeatedly by De Wet Barry as the Wallabies (N Grey at flyhalf?) failed to provide 'another option'. From memory he had a similar player outside him that day (can't remember who though)...
