    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

I think Dingo will go with JOC (James O'Connor) as he has the potential to spark a team counter-attack. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Shepherd are a little limited (IMHO) in this regard.

    Waratahs 2012

I think quality is a by-product of passion. If you are passionate about something then you will put in a lot more effort in perfecting the thing you are interested in. South African and New Zealand players seem to have it in spades whereas it is not as evident in Oz players. George Gregan...

    Waratahs 2012

An attitude change is what is most needed. The 'tahs coaches need to open their eyes to the talent available in the Shute Shield before importing from overseas. The marquees should be saved for positions of weakness. As an example McKibben, Roos and Sua are all good enough for Super Rugby at 9...

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

But everyone remembers the games the Reds won after that. One of the criticisms of the Hurricanes game amongst Reds fans was he didn't rotate enough. There was an article on rugby heaven yesterday about Anthony Fainga'a and he said Link made the call on players on the Monday before the game on...

    Rebels 2012

Two guys I have seen in the Shute Shield worth taking a closer look at (I'd assume the management already have) are Deon Berryman (Gordon) who apparently spent time in the Force academy before being released (good young fullback) and Dewet Roos (Southern Districts) who is rated by some as the...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Cracker of a half of rugby, hope it continues in the second. Love the attitude of both teams a pity more teams don't follow suit.

Should the IRB help Fiji pay for its RWC Campaign?

The IRB could investigate the feasibility of forwarding Fiji their tournament participation money in the form of airline tickets for the players and officials and covering the cost of their accomodation. Once the tournament is over and they are divying up the money to the participating nations...

"Saving the Union": Reds' CEO's Views

Actually it is quite common for sporting organisations to have their taxation calculated offset from the financial year due to the nature of their business. I learnt this last year in basic accounting.

    Grumbles' Gossip and Gripes Weekly

I thought he showed poor editing skills with this section to have a joke and then just casually mention that a former player has died. Surely he should have separated that bit as a mark of respect? The player in the middle of the club strife I am assuming is Manu from Manly who is going to...

    Brumbies 2012

If Valentine is cut at season's end the Brumbies should sign Dewet Roos from Southern Districts to replace him.

    Waratahs 2011

Agree with that. Is Rodney Ma'a injured? Although he is getting on a bit now (in playing terms) Tim McGann was good for Randwick on the weekend.

    Waratahs 2012

I thought it was a smart move by Deans in not selecting Kepu for the EOYT as it did give him an offseason whilst also allowing Alexander an opportunity to overcome his struggling difficulties after an injury lay-off. It also enabled Slipper to gain a little more test experience which puts...

    Shute Shield 2011

I thought his ball running was very poor, too upright and driven back in most tackles. Because of his upright running he turned over the ball at the breakdown on numerous occasions.

    Shute Shield 2011

I stand corrected. Haven't seen enough club rugby games on TV over the years to have noticed him playing. Every time I watch it seems Uni, Easts or Randwick are playing, though Easwood have had quite a few games in the past year or so.
