    Shute Shield 2014

I'd suggest he may have learned his lesson. Possibly deserves a second chance??? It a shame he doesn't have the same passion and willingness to roll up his sleeves and work for the club that Gibbo has. Let's hope Gordon have a great year....that would be the best response :)

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Little or no ego also I'd suggest. Particulary given the fact there's no love lost between the Marlins and the Rats nor between Gordon and Norths. Well done to the powers that be at the 4 clubs.

    Shute Shield 2014

Boody hell, there's going to be a real decline in the number of posts if we have to stick to the facts ;) On a more serious note, I'm glad to see things are on the up-and-up at Gordon -- a proud old club and the Wicks have had some great contests with them over the years.

Sorry, you're breaking up....I'll have to call you back :D

    Shute Shield 2014

Looks like NSWRU needs someone to help them upload the SS draw onto their website. The draw was finalised some time ago I believe but the link has been dead for over a week. I'm sure this is not an indication of their interest in the SS ;)

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

The original announcement quoted 28/2 as the target date to announce the successful tenderers. I agree with you: "sooner the better".

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

This Telegraph article seems to contradict the original ARU announcment which called for EOIs from "existing clubs wanting to compete in their own right" as one of the categories and contained a tick box for "Stand Alone Applicant". Either the Tele is making it up or the ARU has shifted the...

Wamberal, I willing to assume they know what they're doing also -- I just wish they'd tell us!

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Dave, I just wish the ARU would announce the teams and hopefully provide their reasoning behind the selection of the teams. As far as Randwick (or any other team other than Uni) standing alone, I'd suggest that we'd really need to see the tender submitted to understand how a single club...

There's a write up (by Tom Connor) of the trials on the Wicks web site. http://www.randwickrugby.com.au/news/2014-news/3976-randwick-impress-in-first-trial-match

West Harbour, Randwick, Southern Districts and Manly in Sydney. Northland (NZ) Petrarca (Italy) East Coast Aces (ARC) Probably missed a few!

I see from the attached that he is interested in travel and sight seeing which possibly explains his frequent changes of clubs ;) https://sitedesq.imgstg.com/profiles/index.cfm?fuseaction=display_main&ProfileID=1190&orgid=2077

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

As well as a plan C, D, E and F ;) I'd like to meet with him as I reckon he'd know the best routes to all the Sydney grounds. Seriously though, he'll win a few games for Wests with his boot as long as they have someone to cover for him in defence. His boot beat the Wicks twice last year when...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

According to the ARU website (now that it's up and running again!) we will know "in the coming weeks". In other words, when they've worked through all the tenders and then ignored them to select the teams they wanted in the first place -- only joking :D

Sobering thoughts about the financial state of rugby in Oz and the importance of NRC being successful and not bleeding money as the ARC did: http://www.theroar.com.au/2014/02/13/the-financial-malaise-plaguing-australian-rugby/

I'd be surprised if anyone in Qld has heard of any non-Qld origin sportsmen ;)
