    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

If they acquire both the NFL and NCAA College football alongside Super Rugby I'll happily pay an extra $15 a month over top of my current subscription.

    Super Rugby AU 2021

That's something that really made Rugby enjoyable last year. Games that meant something week in and week out played at a level that the only derbies can really produce.

    Australian Rugby / RA

You've got to be kidding. Perhaps they should focus more on growing Rugby in Goulbourn, Wagga and Albury first before they start trying to feed off more of NSW's regions.

    Waratahs 2021

They run Gen Blue trials and games out of the Daceyville at present. Which I imagine they plan to continue doing after construction is complete. So they probably see a need for at least a small amount of seating.

    Waratahs 2021

Not just LA but Austin as well. Owned by the same guy. San Diego has Aussie ownership as well and could be another option in the future for some.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Apparently Amazon have been very happy with the Autumn Nations Cup numbers. So much so they are now looking at bidding on the upcoming Premiership rights in competition to BT and Sky. Could be an option for Super Rugby in terms of international rights. Sell them the idea of being the international home...

They post the replays on YouTube but they make their live broadcasts available via their Facebook page for international viewers.

    Waratahs 2021

Actually only about half have signed so far to either Europe or Japan. Not counting the 5 or so at the Force.

    Waratahs 2021

That's what I was thinking. Aiming for the Pumas 2nd row as at the very least a stop gap solution for a season. They wouldn't be overly expensive I'd imagine and would provide a lot of bang for whatever the bucks they would pay. Scrummaging alone they'd be worth their weight. Quite frankly, both...

    Waratahs 2021

Might be targeting a few Argies. I sure as hell would be.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

We could even tweak that a little further. Run the regular season as you suggest and crown a Aus and NZ Divisional Champion. So 16 games. Then the Top 2 teams from each division automatically progress to the 2nd week of the finals series while the other four from each play in cross divisional...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It would be in the form of a short Cup competition. It's hardly full integration. It also allows us to tap into a major market.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah. Link up with Japan to get the top 4 from their new pro structure for a 16 team AP Cup competition played after each has finished. Two pools of 8 playing playing a single round of game with the winner of each pool playing in the final.

A 10 team, 6 week TT competition set to be announced in the comings days. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/waratahs-reds-dominate-prime-time-slots-as-full-draw-revealed-20201111-p56dkx.html

He is seeing a return from the Force. In the form of beneficial tax credits. It doesn't actually matter whether or not the Force turns a profit (actually it's better they don't) in order for him to be able to use them in lessening his tax burden.

But it's $10 that will give you access to 10-11 games a week from the read of it.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Thinking about the reportedly imminent 9 deal. If they are looking to fill the Saturday slot they could look to do much as they do with the Friday night NRL coverage and broadcast one on the primary channel at say 7:30pm and a late game that would be live on Stan but delayed on 9 with the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's not what the ratings suggest. Soccer at least at the pro level isn't exactly the model we should be looking to emulate.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Round 2 of the Sth American 4 Nations has kicked off with Chile backing up their strong performance in a very narrow loss against Arg XV (who much as Selkham pushed Los Ceibos to the line in SLAR) by beating Uruguay 21-22 today. Brazil will face off against Arg XV having fallen to Uruguay in the...
