Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

Just watched the game and though the Tahs showed some grit to hang in despite the yellow cards. Some other observations: - We obviously have an issue with the ten position and I’m yet to see what justified the hype around Donaldson. Yes he’s calm and can kick but he doesn’t seem like a natural...

    Waratahs 2023

I like this forum but sometimes the hysteria like above becomes a bit much. They are a (generally) professional franchise. At most Coleman would have told S&C that he wanted a heavier squad, S&C would have told him that it would come with trade-offs (ie they would have had to reduce load and...

    Waratahs 2023

Harrison has played about 15 full games of Super and never been an actual standout. He’s gutsy and can kick goals but I’m not sure why some people on this forum rate him to such an extent.

    Force 2023

It is a shame that Twiggy is now more interested in energy transition/ green hydrogen rather than turning the Force into a rugby superpower.

You guys want to sack Rennie and replace him with a candidate who has had some good years in Shute Shield and made improvements to the worst Waratahs team ever?

Valetini is our primary ball runner, especially off the lineout on first phase- when has Hooper ever filled that role?

A centre combination of Ikitau and Petaia could be interesting, and and at the very least more threatening than with Hodge. Ikitau's distribution game is underrated, especially his short passing (he hasn't really had any opportunity to show it for the Wallabies this year) and his left foot would...

Why would Rugby Australia (as a governing body) have any input into onfield tactics? I bet Rennie would love to be able to drop the repeat offenders such as Fainga'a but he‘s constrained by the lack of capable replacements.

Porecki is definitely world class at jersey pulling around the ruck.

Are you saying that any player who gives away a needless yellow card should be punished by non- selection the following week, or is it specifically because you don't like Gordon? Generally, you don't punish players for one- off incidents that go against their overall track record.

I honestly don't understand the confusion. Rennie explicitly stated that he wanted to see improvement in Tate's kicking and passing game, yet he comes on against Italy and has his worst game to date for skill execution - it's quite clear.

Rennie publicly stated that he wanted Hodge on for his stronger defence and big boot to close out the game. It was eminently sensible strategy but unfortunately Hodge was terrible.
