    Wallabies 2023

I hope you’re not right- they’re both such negative selections and have been a large part of Australia‘s mediocrity over the last 5 years. I only see upside with 22. C Gordon and 23. Petaia - assuming Quade Cooper is playing 10 (if not Foley starts).

    Wallabies 2023

If we have a specialist 10 on the bench then we really don’t need Hodge- his benefit has always been that he can sufficiently play 10 as well has the outside backs. Petaia adds more value in every position outside of 10/12.

    Wallabies 2023

His defence is not great , but he fundamentally makes poor decisions too often and can be selfish.

    Wallabies 2023

Hopefully Petaia is fit - I think he would be the perfect 23, allowing Carget Gordon to be selected at 22. Those two give you enough flexibility and impact in the backline to make sure we’re not wasting bench options.

    Wallabies 2023

We already have one winger who unnecessarily pick and goes- we don’t need two.

    Wallabies 2023

100% - people are overlooking his inconsistencies and propensity to make mistakes. He’s also not threatening enough to overlook those weaknesses (unlike someone like Folau). I wouldn’t yet trust Marky in the biggest games against the top teams.

Super Rugby 2023 QF: Blues vs NSW Waratahs

They were conned by a good manager who also oversold his marketability off the field. Let’s hope he wasn’t paid much.

    Is Lonergan the new Hodge!?

    Wallabies 2023

You guys are going to be fuming when Gordon inevitably gets selected in the squad. I agree with RebelYell that he’s a good candidate as third choice halfback:, he is a known leader and a renowned strong trainer. He’s also fundamentally a better player than what he demonstrated in the last EOFY...

    Wallabies 2023

I’m not sure that Jake Gordon is a better player than Ryan Lonergan (or Tate McDermott) but is he far more important to his team than the other individuals.

    Crusaders (NZ) Rugby Team Thread.

Penney was a scapegoat for the worst Waratahs team in history. Coleman certainly isn’t the savior.

Phil Waugh would have never gotten close to a private equity deal (or proper transaction) in his life.

R12: Waratahs vs Rebels - Saturday 13 May

Waratahs were saved by the stronger set piece provided by both the starting and finishers, with the Rebels being far more dangerous with the ball-in hand especially in the first half. Donaldson kicked well but I’m yet to see any playmaking ability. The Waratahs attack from the backs is...

R12: Waratahs vs Rebels - Saturday 13 May

Gordon is the new version of Hooper; he’s basically a talisman for the Waratahs. If he plays well, the Waratahs are competitive.

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

If you‘re going to do something that ridiculous, at least make sure you’re the guy responsible for the line break.

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

Honest question here: he’s probably your highest paid player- do you think his performances ever match?

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

I can assure you that no international players think that way about Hodge

    Wallabies 2023

Focus has to be on the competition, not the strength of the national team. Fans care about players who can win them games, not about who they’re qualified for.

Blues vs Waratahs, Sat Apr 22 Eden Park. RD 9

Coleman got a little bit of a dead cat bounce in 2022, following some of the worst Waratahs teams in history, and was ridiculously heralded as a Wallaby- coach in waiting. He’s come back to Earth this season. Similarly the Waratahs were talked up as a title contender, despite the fact their...
