    Wallabies 2023

This seems to be the common narrative - are we sure this completely true?

    Wallabies 2023

There was a slightly worrying sign during the weekend that we were overutilizing Kerevi and not involving the other backs. Kerevi was off in the first half (he improved dramatically in the second) but we still seemed very reticent to use Ikitau and others - especially on first phase ball...

    Wallabies 2023

Freddie Steward is everything Reece Hodge should have been. If you’re going to be a 6ft 2 plus athletic specimen who never breaks a tackle- at least make sure you catch absolutely every high ball.

    Waratahs 2023

Yep don’t expect much from Nadolo consistently over the season although there may be one or two highlight reel efforts. It can be rationalised if we’re not paying him much but something tells me that he hasn’t signed a James Ramm- esque squad contract I’m wary of this being a Tepai Meoroa...

    Wallabies 2023

Perese won’t be playing 13 (or at least starting there) - he’s too flawed at this stage to be trusted on the international stage. Vunivalu isn’t there for go forward- he’s there because he’s the most talented finisher in the squad and has a handy vertical leap.

    Wallabies 2023

It was pretty obvious during this Super Ruguy season..

    Rebels 2023

Halves are weak (fly-half is very green and can't yet described as a strong Super Rugby player) and so are the wingers - let's not sugar coat things. On paper it might be slightly better than the Force.

    Rebels 2023

I admire the optimism but that backline is garbage- even if you can achieve some form of parity in the forwards you’re not scoring any points.

    Waratahs 2023

I’m not blaming Beale I’m criticising Rugby Australia buddy.

    Waratahs 2023

The only possible justification for these signings is that hopefully they all have come bloody cheap. I have a sneaking suspicion though that KB (Kurtley Beale) has managed to con Rugby Australia into an undeserved inflated contract like has has done his whole career.

    Waratahs 2023

Don‘t expect a whole lot from Nadolo - at least on a consistent basis. This is really is just a bridging contract delaying retirement.

    Reds 2023

Get Sam Greene you gronks - but he's probably priced himself out of the Reds squad.

    Waratahs 2023

Cooper and JOC (James O'Connor) f*cked up plenty over the years.

    Waratahs 2023

What exactly is the risk here? And to be really cynical - what were the real impacts of Guildford going off the rails while playing at the 'tahs? He was a cheap signing who f*cked up and the tahs very quickly and quietly bought a one-way ticket to Auckland for him. I doubt our sponsors (let...

    Waratahs 2023

Can everyone get off their high horse? Waratahs have signed Perese, Hunt and Guildford who had similar off-field issues. It's a low- risk (read: cheap) signing with plenty of upside.

    Force 2023

You guys need some quality outside backs pretty quick - otherwise nothing is going to change.

Chiefs vs Waratahs QF 4 June 2.35 AEST

People who really rate Perese are those who judge a player by their highlight reel. Perese definitely has x-factor but it’s completely individual- he doesn’t make players other players look better and his defensive reads are often woeful. In saying all that though- he is exactly the type of...

    Waratahs 2023

We were absolutely dominated in contact in the inside backs and majority of the forward pack against the Chiefs - the mismatch in athleticism was telling and allowed them to recycle quick ball. With the current squad I think a quarter final appearance is about where we deserve to finish based...

    Reds 2022

Absolutely he was a world class outside back in his day. Now he’s done his best to transform into an inside back in order to prolong his career but I wish his attitude/ body had held up better when he was younger.

    Wallabies 2023

Ah the Hodge myth continues. A career characterised by mediocrity for the Wallabies and the Rebels, repeated missed clutch kicks but impressive instagram content where he slots them 60m out. And then every fourth game he plays for the Wallabies (usually when we’re injury ravaged) he plays...
