Poor pass Cooper. Reds all the territory but can't score.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

That NZ scrum that got monstered had B. Franks, Faumauina and Tuipoluto in. All have struggled at scrum time. Our starting pack had good parity with England.

    RIP Jerry Collins

And tomorrow's Blues and Saders. Mealamu, McCaw and Carter probably played in the majority of all the tests Jerry played in. Very sad news.

    New Zealand Rugby Team Watch

During that 4 years with only 2 losses, Hansen and co have introduced a number of new players that are key cogs to the side - Brodie, Coles, A. Smith, Savea, Bender. Also it's how they use the bench with such great effect. That's a very different proposition to what occurred between 87 and 91.

Western Force v ACT Brumbies - Rnd 17 Friday 5 June

Come on Force, time to give Wykes the send off he deserves

Reds V Chiefs Round 17 Sat 6th June

Messam and Brodie are huge ins. They bring great physicality. Add to that an in form Cane. But the Chiefs have big issues at 9 and 10. Their back 3 has been a little scratchy of late also. LETS GO REDS

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Not sure there is a need to secure all of Pocock, Hooper and Gill in the 31. Especially if you also have McMahon in the squad, who against lesser opposition could probably cover openside off the bench. Is Palu injured/goneski?

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Gnostic won't be available, it seems he's still busily working on his Dean's postmortem......

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

6:2 benches are overstated in their value I reckon. A 9 and goalkicking 10 on the bench are non-negotiable in my view. But I think you also need another outside/midfield back option that provides fresh legs and run for late in the game. I think about so many tests where the AB reserve backs...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

JOC (James O'Connor) might make the squad, but he wouldn't be in my match day 23. If I were selecting the backline it would be: 9. Phipps 10. Cooper/Foley 12. To'omua 13. Kurindrani 11. Horne 14. Speight 15. Folau 21. Genia 22. Cooper/Foley 23. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Lets say JOC (James O'Connor) is put in ahead of Horne or Speight, he...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Exactly. JOC (James O'Connor) should not even be in the 10 conversation. Those days of him possibly becoming a 10 are gone. He really is an outside back that can cover midfield should there be injuries. People would say that 12 is/was his best position, but I don't think that is the case. It seems he would be...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I thought the idea of JOC (James O'Connor) playing/covering 10 was lambasted from pillar to post. In such a critical position don't you actually want your back up option to have played there. If there are injuries you bring in another player that plays there.

Cheetahs v Waratahs, round 17, Sunday 7 June

Let's go Cheetahs. Do us Crusaders a favour. Did Betham travel with the squad?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I don't think the disjointed back lines, changes to personnel etc, have anything to do with the lack of poise and execution he has shown. Overall his level play has been disappointing. Some okay bits, but overall well below where he probably should be.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Oz have had a long history of producing quality openside flankers. Whilst M. Jones was always a standout for me as a kid, I still remember the likes of Poido, Codey and Miller sharing the 7 jersey for the Wallabies in the early/mid 80s and all being very good players.

    Highlanders v Chiefs 30th May 2015

Chiefs missing discipline as well.... Pulu is poor. He tries too hard. He doesn't seem intent on allowing the game come to him. Makes several poor decisions a game.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

When he hasn't tried to do too much and overplay the flashy stuff, he has shown to be an excellent 1st 5. Improved kicking game and a reliable goal kicker. His confidence has been knocked about throughout his career though. When he plays with assurance and is healthy, he would be/is the 10 the...

    Crusaders v Hurricanes, Rd 16, 2015

The Canes LO looked unorganised the whole match. Not just the throwing which was generally poor, but there were several miss timed lifts. Was good to see the Saders actually competing against the throw tonight.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Why won't the 10 be defending in the line? Yes the 10 should drop back when it looks like the opposition is going drop back and kick, but it seems far to much shuffling for the line defensively.
