    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Leroy Houston Number 8 in the "A" side. Wow I didn't think our stocks were that depleted. Is Hoiles that much on the nose? I'd rather go with him or McAlman as a smokey.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

When's Cooper's court case? That could put a dampener on things. Front Row: Fatcat/TPN/BA Weekes a bolter on the bench (BA can cover LHP if Fatcat goes off) 2nd Row: Chisholm/Mumm Neither certainties (I would still pick Sharpe but Robbie won't) BR: Pocock/ Cliffy/ Rocky Half: Genia 5/8: Barnes...

Lets make our own G&GR Rebels wish list

I have to don my asbestos undies and confess my Uni bias here but I reckon Tim Davidson would be a great buy for the Rebels. I could see him playing a role very similar to that played by Brett Robinson at the start of the Brumbies. He is a very good player with a fantastic work ethic and is a...

    Tahs Acadmy V Gods Academy

Wasn't at the game but spoke to someone who was. I have been pretty critical of big Nemsy this year, particularly his hands, his work off the ball and his positional sense. However, give him the pill with a bit of room and 1 or 2 to beat and he is hard to stop. Apparently 2 of his meaties...

Lets make our own G&GR Rebels wish list

And the boys on Fox Sports seemed to think the du Plessis brothers were signed or about to sign as well. They would be handy in vital positions, although the Dr would have to leave the "trip" behind.

    Waratahs vs Sharks. Sydney.

I just watched this game after reading all about it here first and it made for interesting watching. My comments: Halangahu had a very good game. Not guilty of aimless kicking like many others, worked the inside channel very well and tackled like a demon. He has to stay. TPN should be cloned...

    The Hickey should stay thread

Lee, my understanding is that if a player who is not part of the top squad is picked in a S14 22 they get match payments which are set by the basic players agreement struck between ARU and RUPA (?$7,000 or thereabouts). If they play 3 S14 they have to give them a full contract. I think the basic...

    Pecking order: THP

I think Weekes has outscrummed everybody this year, with the possible exception of FatCat, and that was a draw.

    Pecking Order: Locks

If you want to throw in a couple of likely young prospects: McAlman (has played a lot of 2nd row although usually a 6 or 8) Sam Carter - only 20, certainly big enough and still filling out. Son of Wallaby no 6 Dave Carter. Will do big things in the next 1-2 years and there's another Qld Shaw...

    Pecking Order: Locks

    1. Sharpe ( why is he so on the nose??) 2. Horwill 3. Mumm 4. Chisholm 5. Wykes 6. Douglas (will be on the spring tour for sure) 7 Humphries 8. Caldwell 9. Byrnes I think Al Campbell went to France a couple of years too early.

    The Hickey should stay thread

Agree with Mark S. I keep thinking back to the Crusaders for years under Robbie who always started slowly and came home with a wet sail and the Chiefs last year who looked ordinary for 4-5 weeks and then were standouts (until the final anyway). You've got to give them a couple of more weeks...

    Pecking order: LHP

I've been watching Palmer since he was a scrawny 12yo. He has played THP and hooker, but I've never seen him play LHP

    Waratahs vs Sharks. Sydney.

Palmer doesn't need any more weights time. He is amazingly strong for a 21 yo. In the Waratahs "strong man" competition he has won the benchpress component for the last 2 years. They have to bench their own weight. Last year he won it with 17 reps, this year he broke his own record by lifting...

    Pecking order: LHP

Robinson Alexander Kepu Daley Holmes Yanuyanutawa ( I know he hasn't played any S14 yet, but I'm a fan, OK) Anyone who has seen any Force games this year will know that Dunning is gone.

    Pecking order: Hooker

    1. TPN 2. Moore 3. Fainga'a 4. Fitzy A hooker has to have some idea about throwing a ball into a lineout therefore Cowan is out. A fit Freier would challenge Moore for 2.
