I'll start. I am suggesting the order for LHP. There should be two other threads on props, one for THPs and one for cross-packers - anyone care to start those?

LHP

1.Robinson
2. Alexander
3. Kepu
4. Daley
5. Holmes

Thanks. I have amended the list. I'll do that as we get suggestions, so we finish with the top five right at the start of the thread.

As a point of interest, Alexander and Dunning should also feature as THPs and as cross-packers.

I think you should just do a THP and LHP thread and then compile the cross packers from those lists.

I think Dunning may be just about gone in terms of representing the Wallabies, and I'd prefer to see Daley thrown in the deep end than giving Dunning another chance. I know Daley needs work on scrummaging, but surely his development in this area would be exponential if he was exposed to international games and the wallaby coaching set up.

Hopefully we will also see Holmes back into form this year, and put his hand up as another cross packer. We now have the most depth in props in this country for over a decade.

Good points, Scotty.

Let's make it the TYS pecking order, rather than our guess of Robbie D's order.

Pretty much agree with that order Biffo.

If Robinson goes down I would keep Alexander at tighthead and bring Kepu in at loosehead.

Daley is the next Benn.

More like the next Alexander (Great workrate). Benn is an actual destructive scrummager, they are as rare as hens teeth.

Who knows about Daley yet, fp. He is only young - lots of development left.

Last time I saw Alexander in action, I commented that he packs too much like a THP to be a great LHP.

I stand by that comment.

True, but just comparing to Robinson at the same stage, Robbo was already splattering people at the 21s whilst playing every minute of the tournament.

I really hope Daley develops as well, but my guess is that he is more in the "Wyatt Crockett" mould (and that isn't a bad thing)

Robinson
Alexander
Kepu
Dunning
Daley
Holmes

with Robinson and Alexander starting at LH and TH, I think Kepu is the ideal bench man. But if you go with Robinson and some other THP, you have Alexander on the bench. I like the look of the front row options.

Robinson
Alexander
Kepu
Daley
Holmes
Yanuyanutawa ( I know he hasn't played any S14 yet, but I'm a fan, OK)

Anyone who has seen any Force games this year will know that Dunning is gone.

It'll be Palmer on the bench eventually. Far too good to ignore.

I've been watching Palmer since he was a scrawny 12yo. He has played THP and hooker, but I've never seen him play LHP

Yep but the transition is easier. With Robinson being so durable, Palmer's duties at LHP would be emergency only

I'd like to see Palmer play a few more games before I nail him on the pecking order. He could be another Beale - celebrated before actually performing.

Well, take it from an expert: the boy can scrummage. When they can do that at his age, there is no hype: only fact.
