Thought Paisami played well though, especially his ball playing.

GAGR Wallaby POTY v Argentina (1st test)

This was a tough week, lots of great choices. I'll go with: 3. FF (Folau Fainga'a) 2. Valetini 1. Swain HM: Petaia, Paisami, White, Wright. McReight and Holloway started slow but got better and better as game went on. Leota off the bench was destructive too.

GAGR Wallaby POTY v Argentina (1st test)

The Ikatua's one in the first 5mins was right on his chest tho, he should have caught that and made a clean line break. Players just aren't use to playing with him yet.

McReight in the second half, especially on attack, was immense.

I agree on FF (Folau Fainga'a). But I think it's too soon for Lonergan. I wonder if Latu will get a call up, where are all the other Hookers, injured too?

    Brumbies 2023

There are many factors that contribute to that. Canberra weather, stadium location, over-all sentiment of rugby, the previous 5-10 seasons of style of play (Larkham era + White era), all the ref interference. stoppages of play, inconsistent ref rulings, the success of rugby League etc. etc...

Damn, FF (Folau Fainga'a) better be throwing straight, this could really hurt us at line-out time again. (although he was throwing pretty damn straight last match, let's hope it continues).

Great player, but he doesn't exactly play like Fardy? I see Fardy as more a 6/7, pest at the breakdown, workhorse, hard as nails. Holloway 4/6/8, hard runner with pace, strong into contact. Does Holloway make any turnovers?

    Brumbies 2023

I don't think there's anything boring about how the Brumbies currently play. It's currently a well-balanced game.

    Brumbies 2023

Did anyone see Larkham's comments around playing more of an entertaining rugby style to win fans back. This is worrying to hear from the new Brumbies head coach, could he be going away from the current mauling and set-piece strengths the Brumbies have now developed? Given Larkham's last stint...

    Wallabies 2023

My thoughts exactly. Simone had a superb season, his timing on heading overseas has hurt him for sure.

    Wallabies 2023

Actually I like both Foketi and Simone ahead of Paisami. I think both Foketi and Simone had much better Super XV season's. Both have made large improvements this year. Paisami seems the same player he was last year. You know what you get from him and I don't think it's quite enough. This is one...

Yeh he's up there in ball carries but Talakai is not very consistent at the moment. Staggs would be a great option for the centres, destructive runner with pace.

    Wallabies 2023

Fifita struggled when moved to Centre in League (trying to replicate Talakai), he was a defensive liability. He would be turned around and caught out so easily in union. Definitely needs to be in the forwards 6/8. Love the rest of your backline, tommy turbo (if he can kick) would be amazing at 15!

To be fair, I think this is one of Hoopers worst performing years in some time. Which is surprising given I think last year was one of his best.

Would be a great buy for the Reds.

    Wallabies 2023

Yeh your probably right. But he certainly has been a high impact player this year. He has the turnovers and link-play of a traditional 7. If he continues his form he probably has a mortgage on the bench as an impact player.

    Wallabies 2023

Let's be real. It's still his best position.

    Wallabies 2023

Actually, I'd say based on last super XV season and his bench cameo's Samu is the form 7 this year. Or you could argue McReight had a better Super XV season. But both ahead of Hooper. Hooper of coarse, has runs on the board at test level, but on current form, i hate to say it, but Samu and...

Whatever happened to Mick Bryne? Wasn't he suppose to be the best 'skills coach' in the world. I don't think our skills have improved over the last decade.
