Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

I think Hodge is capable under the high ball. Yes he's had a few bad games but he's also had some good games under the high ball. Hopefully this week he has been getting the practice in, he's a big guy so there's no reason why he can't dominate in the air. Maybe more time at fullback will mean...

I like having both Sio and Tupou coming off the bench, they will both add some physicality and energy. Porecki will ensure will end the match with solid line-out throwing. I like it. Not sure where Bell fits in the pecking order. Sio and Slipper looking good. Bell has been great too though.

But Petaia is better under the high ball and we against the Boks.

I think Foketi has a lot of potential at 12 and is starting to show it, probably why Paisami isn't as supported, more competition for the back-up 12 spot now (after Kerevi).

I have a feeling White's and Gordons kicking games will be preferred for the Boks over Tate. Personally, I would like to see Tate on the bench too. I'm expecting Arnold to be given another shot. Lots invested in him coming over and he is supposedly the best lock in Europe and in the line-out...

Yeah it was a great piece of analysis. At first viewing I also thought JOC (James O'Connor) was harshly done by, but after reviewing I think it makes perfect sense why he was dropped. I am also liking the look of Foketi at 12. Seems to be shaping up nicely.

https://www.theroar.com.au/2022/08/24/analysis-asking-too-much-brutal-truth-behind-james-oconnors-axing-and-why-wallabies-defence-coach-had-to-go-too/ Tupou - hardly a leader in the group. White - he played poorly, but previous game was great. He has at least shown patches of play where his...

    Brumbies 2023

I wonder if a new super rugby drafting system will help this, or be worse for this.

    Plus Marx on the bench!

I think you missed the point why JOC (James O'Connor) was dropped. He had a role to be leader in the group and did not execute.

Damn that backrow by the Boks is pure class. Even with Vermeulen out of form.

    Wallabies 2023

I remember an interview a year or two ago with Laurie, who stated he was always keen for the wallabies position but was never asked (by Cheika). Then he went on to say he thought he could do both the Brumbies job and Wallabies position at the same time since it's an assistance role and the Test...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

What ever happened to Jack Maddocks, he really did leave Aus in a bad time, probably would have gotten a shot at starting fullback now.

I agree, I think this is also why Arnold will potentially get another shot. I think he is potentially a like for like with Swain but with added physicality and experience. So if it came down to it maybe Swain would be the one to miss out. I think it may be Arnold, Phillip, Neville and Rodda...

Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

All our locks are all capable though: Neville, Arnold, Rodda, Phillip, Swain have all had at least one good game at test level. It will simply come down to form at RWC cup time. Your talking like its the worst thing in the world the coaches don't know who's the best. Its like the old Phil...

He will surely have a team sorted already, doesn't matter who the Boks pick they are going to play a similar way.

    Wallabies 2023

Great pick up, McKellar has certainly improved the maul already, which was prevalent in the Argies first test (I think 3 tries off mauls/line-outs). Laurie should help with the breakdown work and more forward play.
