Eastwood lost a couple but they also picked up a few, What's more they're from their district! Am I allowed to say that :) I think they will be very competitive

I have a mate who had a go at those behind the Gordon caper. He informs me that they they were quite open with him as to their intentions. Total contempt for the kids that missed a game on the weekend (assuming there was not a legitimate reason but if it quacks like a duck...) and the...

My comment re the Northern zone was not aimed at you or everyone within the zone of course, perhaps some diplomacy on my part may not go astray. I do however stand by the belief there is an unhealthy aspect to the SJRU (including things I’ve witnessed in my son’s villiage club) and agree the...

Just some personal animosity, don’t worry its finished. We’ve decided to have a punch up and give this blog a break.

From tedious to pathetic. Couldn't care less what you do I'm done talking to you.

Suites me fine Hugh Jarse, this merry go round ceased being about rugby a while ago. As for State Champs it looks like Gordon, Norths, Woods, Parra and Penrith are the contenders. Does anyone know when the draw is out?

Inside shoulder as much as you would like it’s not about my son. You have no idea about his circumstances so don’t comment from the depths of your ignorance. It does however come as no surprise you like thinks just as they are, even playing fields are so inconvenient for the elite. My concern...

Got it now quick hands. Getting flogged is no excuse, it’s the kids fault for not ‘looking for the ball’. Sounds fair My 2nd point was in response to using the condition of the ground as an excuse for MNZ losing to MSZ. (why do Northern supporters have so much trouble accepting defeat?)Had...

That's good as it provides a framework that everyone can understand. However it still doesn't address to what games the framework is to be applied. Is it Champs? Regionals? both? Does anyone know? Clarity on this will go a long way to addressing real or perceived bias and IMO more so if the...

That would be because when you googled the word for a definition you didn't grasp its meaning. For it to be an ad hominem attack you would have had to make an argument to invalidate. 'Why don't you provide a list of what you do know' is not an argument, it's a piss weak attempt at being clever -...

Don't see how. Once again the difference is a more level playing field. Say for example in champs Johnny scores 2 tries in a one sided game and his opponent never touches the ball, how can a fair comparison be made? At least in zone this scenario is less likely to occur. And greater...

No argument from me there but I would add that it is much harder to get selected from say Southern districts than Gordon. That's why I argue that Sydney should be selected primarily on zone performance, a fairer and more transparent process.

I know What I’ve said is supported by facts The truth upsets you Ad hominem attacks are a poor substitute for debate You are a precious petal with a chip on your shoulder How’s that?

Don't know his role at Mosman and he would not be eligible if he did have a son in the team but that's not the point. I'm correcting the claim that there was no one from the North involved in Sydney selections. I mean seriously, in selections based on the regional's would you expect truly...

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2014

My point is emphasis should be on Regional’s not state champs where some teams have an advantage. The regional’s are transparent and a more level playing field, played on the same grounds under the same conditions. Yes MSZ beat MNZ and MWZ beat both Barbars and MSZ, on the same ground. Are...

The coach was from Mosman. 3rd placed Barbarians by far and away had the most selected. It's better selectors don't know the age group and base selections on performance not reputation. If they need to rely on the opinion of others they should get another hobby.

As I’ve said, the trend towards forming super teams is not healthy for rugby because (a)Three or four teams dominate the comp (yes inside shoulder even by the arbitrary 40 pts you leapt on, it’s happened to West’s 3 out of 4 games) and (b)With fewer teams the less ‘gifted’ don’t get as much game...

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2014

You already tried that one on IS. As I stated back then, the jist of the comment is about the rise of super teams in general and its impact on rugby. That you can be bothered to troll past blogs (on more than one occasion) and cherry pick comments that are out of context to the current...

Post script. In the event of once again being accused of a hidden agenda my son is at a private school, plays club and representative rugby so anyone who may disagree address my argument and save us the ad hominem attacks. And have a nice day :)

Rugby addict I’m not sure if you are disagreeing or largely supporting what I’m saying. No doubt Chatswood are content to finish club at 15’s and enjoy a last year of reps but that IS exactly the point. It’s not about Gordon’s preferences; it shows a total disregard for non rep players and...
