SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

Bit harsh Zeno. You may well be right in your reckoning of the Crusaders game plan but I'm sure they would have already known the Reds concede few penalties and if a few passes had stuck for the Cru they would have been in for at least one or two more tries. You can't really rubbish other...

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

Maybe think of it this way, Slim. The Brumbies beat the Reds and the Reds just managed to win the whole damn thing. Therefore the Brumbies pretty much won the competition - think happy thoughts! :D

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

This is assuming he will go with a 100% squad which I'm still not convinced about. While RD might not be resting the Reds he might well be testing some different combos and subs. What they might be I have no idea.

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

Thanks Lindo, I'll be watching again with interest in the harsh light of tomorrow morning. Also agreed with Cyclo on Taps, seemed to handle the occasion very well and I think we'll be seeing more of him and possibly not just in Red in the future, although I have no idea how old he is, I think...

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

I agree. I thought both Cooper and Genia had off games and the Cru contained them very well. Having said that I think it's even more of a credit to the Reds that they can still win without their halves firing perfectly. Horwill, Simmons, Robinson, Higgers, Diggers, Taps, A Fainga'a, Davies and...

    Reds MOM - FINAL

    3. Horwill - led from the front with heart and soul in it 2. Higginbotham - played a blinder and went up a long way in my estimation 1. Digby - great player and a pleasure to watch

    Congrats Queensland!

Congrats to the Reds, great season and a great way to cap it off against the best tonight. Congrats too to a most worthy opponent and one that's been through a lot this year. Good on Southern Hemisphere rugby, what a competition!

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

The Reds are probably lucky to go to oranges only one down. If they can survive on the scraps they might get there and it looks like thats what theyre gonna have to do.

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

Lawrence has no control whatsoever right now. Cru permanently offside and all he can do is blow up some knock ons

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

I've been away from this great place for the week so I've missed a lot of the build-up and am busily trying to catch up now, just wanted to throw my 2c in and say I hope the game is a blinder, and we see some of the very best in rugby from the two best teams in the competition. Oh, and GO THE...

    Semifinal 1: Reds V Blues

I think the Reds will get there, and I hope they do. Go the REDS!

    Shute Shield 2011

Thanks Bruce. I would have presumed all and sundry would want Vickerman to get as much game time as possible, but I suppose adding some semblance of logic to the situation might have been my undoing.

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

It would probably be the best way to help him build his brand... In all seriousness though, I wouldn't be completely against it.

    Shute Shield 2011

Any idea why the Waratahs would insist on that given that there was no way he would play for them again this season?

    And Qantas sponsorship for both?

    ARU - Wallaby 1st membership

At that price you should be able to choose.

    Why is Tom Carter unpickable?

Good first post, just to add on that I noticed it was TC giving the talk to the team still on the field at the end of the game on friday. I don't think there's much doubt he is a solid part of the 'leadership group' at the Tahs, and seems to perform the role pretty well.
