Everyone must promise not to tell KB (Kurtley Beale)!!

    Kurtley Beale

With Miss Doug today reporting that the leaves are red and falling in Whistler, BC, I think it's time to leave KB (Kurtley Beale), and start a Louge thread!!

I fully support the deletion then, and will not be upset if this whole affair (pun intended) is "set aside" on G&GR, until all involved have a chance to give their evidence. Until then, we have an All Blacks test to win. Sadly, two contrasting stories involving Australian football codes were...

I'm over KB (Kurtley Beale). If found guilty, give him "community service" as a wardsman in a West African Ebola hospital. That should help to get his mind back into to right 'zone'.

    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

From this morning's Gold Coast Bulletin: "Quade Cooper says he's physically ready for a Wallabies return if called up for the third Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks next week at Suncorp Stadium". "But the Queenslander stressed yesterday while playing Test Rugby is always a goal, he'll...

IRB Sevens 2014/15 World Series - Round 1 Gold Coast - 11/12 October

Women's (or should that be Ladies) Rugby Sevens is to be included in the Commonwealth Games here on the GC in 2018!! Excellent news, HJ? The Aussie "girls" will play a 3-match series against Canada in conjunction with the Men's event this weekend.

    You betcha, Mr T!

Izzy has the ability, but not yet showing it. Latham was tough, as in "tough as teak", Izzy is still soft as in "soft as Sorbent toilet tissue".

    G&GR MOM - Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

Well spotted Reg, correction, make that 3. Saia, 2.Trevita, 1. Higgers, HM. SC and JH! Have fixed it above, thanks.

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

And in the recent past, a couple of members had the audacity to say Izzy (or Wazzy?), was a better #15 than Chris Latham!

    G&GR MOM - Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

3 Saia 2 Trevita 1 Higgers Hon mention: Sam Carter and Big Kev. (The conjoined twins)!

Obviously a snapshot from your last Mexican holiday, HJ. Great swing band that one, and I always drank Lone Star beer whilst at school in Sydeney!!

I'm a big fan of Hooper as a test player, but a good player doesn't always make a good captain, just as a good player/captain doesn't always make a good coach. You would remember Wally Lewis at Seagulls NRL club. He was given the nick-name "Mini bus", because he was only "half a coach"!!

Re the National Anthem, I missed it but Mrs Doug was really pissed off with it. As I said about 20 pages ago, "there are more ways to defeat a touring team than during the 80 minutes on the field"! Surely a prerequisite of being given the honour of singing a nation's Anthem, is that you can, in...

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

I agree with Pfitzy, Cyclo and Kate, that Hooper isn't a captain (at this level, anyway). I hate the idea of "Co-Captains", Brisbane Lions AFL team had FIVE Co-Captains when they first started, pretty dumb stuff, IMO! Select a Vice Captain that would be less likely to be replaced if (and when)...

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

Really?! He's been below-par for too long and needs to be benched in Brisbane to give him time to contemplate, but ARU will use him to promote match in a "League-mad" Brisbane!
  17. Mr Doug

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

fatprop, they don't have the problems with "The Greens" that we have in Oz, so 'the bench' will be made of forest hardwood, thus it will be 'very strong'!!
  18. Mr Doug

    Kurtley Beale

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again, Kurtley reminds me of Andrew Walker. So much talent, but without the ability, (or desire) to govern his life. I wish him well in whatever forum he should choose to engage himself.

A question to you seasoned travelers out there: At what stage does an airline consider the perpetrator of an "incident" on a scheduled commercial flight a "danger to passengers and crew", and arrange for (in this case), the Sao Paolo Airport Security staff to meet the flight on its arrival...
