Agreed. I've seen a lot of Keith over the years and he is a good, hard running forward. But he is only 17 this year and should not be thrown in the deep end like this. There is no need to rush him through and it could end very badly.

Stannies play Knox in Bathurst tmrw across all grades and down to Fifth XV in Opens. Impressive depth for a school with only 600-odd students.

Unlike GPS I don't think CAS have a stated policy around sporting scholarships. Happy to be proven wrong if someone can point me to it.

Injuries or are Knox not committing?

CAS 7s next weekend will impact trial results substantially. On Knox v Augs cancellation, I heard Knox offered to host rather than have cancelled due to Rat Park condition, but Augs declined. Shame as would have been good to see both teams get an early hit out.

A 16 (or 17 according to the article on Geoff) match tour across Europe and Asia must have been a costly and complex logistical exercise. Did the ARU kick the can back then or was it all parent funded like today? Presumably didn't leave a whole lot of time for the HSC either.
