    Queensland Reds 2024

I don't think a loan system that would see Tuipuloto or Wilson come up to the Reds in a season where they have both started for the tahs is ever going to be possible. There was a bit of that during covid but I believe it was in season transfer rather than just a loan. There's some talk Wilson is...

SOARR would probably love that, given they have no interest in funding 7s (or women's rugby). Not sure anyone explained to them that tier 1 world rugby status is contingent on that whole of game commitment.

Petaia out for the rest of the (Reds) season: https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/04/23/its-disappointing-petaias-super-season-over-and-it-could-end-his-reds-career/ Looking at 3 months on the sideline, should hopefully be back for the rugby championship.

There were rumours they'd go but Cadbury came out and put them to bed. I think it was mostly McLennan trying to get out in the papers and hold the game hostage when his head was on the chopping block.

Not as important when you're playing your tight head props for around a half each. There is plenty of evidence of him dominating at the very top level of the game, I don't know why you'd even consider moving him away from tight head prop, a position he is so well suited to.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2024

Newstar posted a signing photo with Cordingley at some point last year when the reds signed up a schoolboy star and there was plenty of talk about repairing that relationship with Picone when they were hunting for a coach last year. I think it's fair to assume they're all at least on speaking...

Yes, because it's such a waste having a world class tighthead dominating his opposition in the scrum.

As @RugbyReg hinted, Cadbury has extended their sponsorship of the Wallaroos through the 2029 world cup: https://www.rugby.com.au/news/cadbury-boosts-longterm-commitment-to-the-wallaroos-2024421

I feel like it has to be something like that, otherwise I would've thought he would've slotted straight in for the Rebels when Wilkin was injured. On the Reds side of things I could definitely see him taking Anderson's spot for 2025. I like Anderson but he hasn't really kicked on (partially...

Super Rugby Pacific 2024 The Run Home

Chiefs a lot of away games, but two of them against tahs and Moana should be easy for them. I back them as probably the biggest (positive) movers in the top 6. Big few weeks for the Rebels - away game in New Zealand they should win but it's something they've always struggled with and the...

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2024

Based on the rest of your eligibility remarks I think you might have gotten confused on tight head prop - Toomaga-Allen is ineligible, Alex Hodgman (the Reds loosehead) is the former All Black prop who is eligible.

Rd 9: Auckland Blues v ACT Brumbies, Sat, April 20 2024

Real statement win from the blues. They've had a fairly easy run so far and lost their only other game against a side in the top half of the comp pretty meekly, but they staked their claim tonight. Not quite sure the Brumbies even left Canberra.

    Round 9 : Reds v Highlanders

It's a pretty good balance live, at least on the members area I sit where the crowds are denser. Not sure how much of that shows on the broadcast though

Super Rugby Pacific 2024 The Run Home

Tahs big problem is going to be keeping the belief - current form will see them lose the next four games. Force and Moana are then winnable for them and might be enough, but if the wheels have come off before then they could easily lose either game and that's probably it for their season...

There was a pretty good breakdown of his game and value in response to that on the roar: https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/04/11/rooster-must-remodel-angus-crichton-says-hed-want-to-dominate-in-rugby-union-this-is-what-hed-have-to-change/ It's pretty hard to argue with, can't really see us...

It's for the blues game but I agree. Only good thing about it is the collar.

    Round 9 : Reds v Highlanders

No Rhys Patchell makes the Highlanders a lot less threatening for mine, they haven't looked the same without him. Anyone know what happened to him? It was reported he was rested for the Brumbies game a month ago but he hasn't been sighted since.
