    ^Or Jamie Joseph.

    Lions Tour 2013

Allow him to tweet about it and you've got a job, and a sneaky few million bucks headed your way.

IRB PLAYER OF THE YEAR - 2012

No, I agree that it should've gone to the Chiefs, or even Canterbury (5 NPC Titles in a row is nothing to sneeze at), but I would imagine that the All Blacks win the team of the year award every year. I think the decision to give it to the AB's is fair though, 12 wins and a draw from 14 games is...

    Lions Tour 2013

I hear that the funds from the tour are being put towards finding James O'Connor a sensible hairdresser.

IRB PLAYER OF THE YEAR - 2012

The All Blacks win the NZ team of the year award? Bugger, should've put some money on that at $1.01. Well done to Lord McCaw, his 4th NZ Player of the Year award.

    Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union

NHRU website says comp starts April 6 and ends September 14, which would be an 18 round competition, same as this year, designed for 10 teams. If Easts came in, an 11 team comp would need to run 22 rounds, so I'm not sure if there's an option time-wise to extend the season by those 4 rounds.

    Lions Tour 2013

^AAMI Park is absolutely incredible for viewing. Plus the atmosphere because it's so enclosed.

Wanderers have also picked up Chris Stratton and Lewie Catt from Hamilton's premiership side this year according to NBN last week.

    Lions Tour 2013

On the plus side, they are 90% likely to still sell these tests out, and they should make a fair slab of cash (which can then be put towards the sustained broadcasting of the Shute Shield please? Wishful thinking, I know). Personally I'll be handing over my $25 or whatever to stand on the hill...

Also SFX was the school that pretty much gave birth to the Hamilton club, back when it was Hamilton Marists. The womens comp sounds like it's going to be a cracker next year with Lake Mac coming in, good to see.

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Robinson hasn't written anything overly analytical, just mainly reporting on what happened rather than giving too much of her opinion, and I quite like it. She's definitely a lot more tolerable than Growden. Here's hoping she does what he never did, and that's mention club rugby for positive...

    RWC 2015 Pools

Wow, these pools ensure that the group stage will be even better in 2015 than it was last year, going to be really interesting with some massive games. The last two World Cup finals have been between teams who were in the same pool...so I'll head down to the TAB and put my house on a Samoa vs...

    ABs vs Poms

Ashton is seriously the most overrated player England have produced for a while, and that's saying something. For some reason, Poms just love him...but I cannot wait until the day he does one of those dives and does his shoulder on the landing, Matt Giteau style. Then again, I used to hate...

IRB PLAYER OF THE YEAR - 2012

If it's done on average quality of performances, you couldn't go past Carter. The bloke has been outstanding when he's played. His game against Scotland was his best of 2012 for me. He joins McCaw as the only multiple time winner of the award, congrats DC. More importantly, who did Owen...

    Hore's brain-fart

He actually does have some Richard Loe qualities to him, he is a prop, but I'm not sure if he's ever eye gouged anyone. He wasn't saying that it was ok, he was just giving a bit more thought to it. We both agreed that Hore really should've gotten a longer suspension, and that the judiciary...

    Hore's brain-fart

I take it this is disagreeing with me saying that McCaw wasn't in an illegal position? He'd been sat on his backside by one of the other Bok forwards, so he was out of the ruck, nowhere near the ball, and not doing anything. Watching it back, the ball was available to the halfback before...

    Hore's brain-fart

McCaw wasn't really in the wrong position was he? When Greyling hit him he was on his backside, on his own side of the ruck.

    Hore's brain-fart

Interesting idea about it from one of my team mates today: he said that he thought Hore did it because the Welsh player was in a position he shouldn't have been in (i.e. in the direct line of the ruck where NZ players would be entering), and that it was quite similar to rucking, in that using...

    Hore's brain-fart

I have to disagree with the 'grub' comments. The bloke has played 245 first class games, including 74 tests, and has never done anything else like this in his career. He's always played it hard and fair. Yes, this was a cheap shot and I don't think Hore himself would be able to explain what he...

    Hore's brain-fart

I know this is said whenever anyone does something illegal on the field, but that really is unlike Hore to do. The guy is usually the hardest yet fairest player around. He has a massive brain explosion, sees this little Welsh whippet in his way as he's trying to make it to a ruck, and lashes an...
