    The Israel Folau saga

That's certainly true but it is not just limited to the typical religions that are so heavily criticised. That includes all the extreme points of view that exist across all the ideologies (whatever they may be). The brain does not work like a computer, it works like a neural network and as...

    The Israel Folau saga

They actually did say it before hand. And it really was publicly. Now we can leave it at that.

Why even bother paying attention to him? I have no clue what he said or thinks because I don't waste my time on media whores and extremist trolls. I can't argue against what you think. I just think they have left themselves open to financial pain by saying they want to fire him before they...

    The Israel Folau saga

You can think that if you want. I think they should not have said anymore until they had engaged their processes. Maybe I have the users mixed up on my phone: You: "this is like the Beale situation where they said their intent prior to review" Me: "yes it is" You: "no it isn't." Is that it?

    The Israel Folau saga

^^^^^^i realise they did precisely that. That's why I wrote what I did. They ALSO doubled down with the follow up that they want to fire him. That's the point I was making - they shouldn't have said that last part at all because that's gonna get them in trouble. That was my point.

This will cost them financially. And adding up the number "likes" the ARU have collected on their Twitter feed is not going to lessen the financial blow. Is it completely inconceivable to you that they couldn't have stated that they strongly disagree with his post, rugby is better than what...

    The Israel Folau saga

Yep. They shot their mouths off prior to following their own processes. They haven't learned a thing. They have left themselves open to a potentially awful situation - again. They are a less than optimal bunch of people.

Blocking doesn't work when you're not logged in, so I saw that. "Please don't cross the road without looking because I don't want you to get hit by a car" is quite clearly exactly the same thing as "I hope you get hit by a bus and die" in your world. It wasn't persecution and it wasn't hate...

    The Israel Folau saga

Easter was also a pagan festival (spring/seeding/fertility/whatever). It's easier to coerce local cultures over to your new religion if you can tell them that they can keep celebrating their festivals at the same time, just call it a new name and repurpose it to fit the new religion.

This. So much this. A like doesn't do this post enough justice.

It's not persecution - can people stop using that term.

He's a bit of a bonehead, why care what he thinks? I give his opinions as much weight as I give mundines about vaccinations. Why get upset about the illinformed saying illinformed shit?

Rd 8: Reds v Stormers Friday 5th April

That's what I thought as well. That first half was a measured performance by the reds and set the base for the narrative that played out. That's why I like rugby games like that - the story that unfolds is what's captivating. I understand why some people don't like that kind of game though.

I quite enjoyed that one. A good, solid game. Not the flashiest, or even the most skilled. But it was pretty tough by both sides.

^^^^its just easier if you say the "qru are just fucked" Coz they are. And it's an accurate assessment.

Godfrey, you do you mate. Don't let others tell you who to support, how to support them, or how to feel. Following a team can yield strong emotions, and having people dictating to you how you need to react to those emotions is pretty awful. Me personally, I want the reds to win but I am not...

    Round 7: Reds v Rebels - Saturday 30 March @ Suncorp

I would suggest that last week's performance simply could not have come from no where. It was a complete demolition of the opposition in a very methodical way that I haven't seen in any reds team since link left. A following week poor performance *might* be just the immaturity of the team in...
