    2012 S15R12 Stormers vs Waratahs @ Newlands

No, he was the five-eighth. I think you were watching the wrong game, mate. Boom-tish. You need people doing the right things around you and being in position to be able to execute plays like the ones he did to set up our tries. Perhaps they could have shown more purpose/adventure in the...

What is wrong with the Tahs

PS as the bloke who suggested electing you I hope for at least one junket. I'm not part of any old boys network so it'll be cheap!

Bardon for Board. RH you prepare the arm bands, I'll distribute them. Can you imagine the NSW Rugby board with Bruce as Chair, ably assisted by Bardon? Oh, the joy!

    Brisbane Bledisloe and GC 7s

Can't wait! Was there last year for the incredible victory, on my birthday. It'll be hard to top that but I look forward to seeing them try!

A wealthy man and, in the case of QANTAS, a glutton for punishment I see!

It would depend...flying the day before, or flying home, I'd be ok with them but if I had a deadline? Hmm... Are you flying up Stu? Or to any of the interstate tests?

What's your idea of not-too-expensive? Eg YHA at Central is ok and only $38pp 4 share. If you're going with mates it's a very cheap option. Plus you can get to/from bloody easily. If there's more room in the budget, you can get more attractive or further in to the city!

    Brisbane Bledisloe and GC 7s

Cheers Sabanator and Tangawizi! Good advice, I'd have to say. I might give yours a crack Tangawizi. Barbarian, my one Tiger experience to and from Adelaide was ok - 2hr delay on the return but otherwise fine - but there really are sooo many other bad ones out there. Also looking at flying...

Thanks for using the kindly edited version of Slim's rantings I provided :D

Alternatively, CountryLink has a direct train. Sure, it's an overnighter and gets in at 5AM. Sure, it takes 14hrs 18min. Sure, it costs (one way) approximately the same as a return Tiger ticket. But it's an option...

Ooh ooh! *sticks up hand* Yeah I do understand. I just find myself struggling to justify the extra $$$. I guess I could always fly Jetstar at arse-o'clock... But that means Sat AM and Sun AM/Mon PM :(

    Brisbane Bledisloe and GC 7s

I'm sure there are plenty of Gaggerererers heading up North (or around the corner if you already live in those parts) for the Bledisloe and 7s. First question: Where is the best seating for the Bled? Last year I went up with the old man and we went Gold. It was near the player races. This year...

Way to quote yourself Slim! Uber productive. For the record, if I were to assume you were being constructive and not an arse, I would edit it to something like:

    Michael Cheika

Yes, to be fair my memory doesn't stretch back that far - I was more referring to the more recent post: Fingers crossed one of the provinces snares him, I think he might bring some fresh ideas that could help. Maybe. Perhaps.

Mate I shat all over the decision then, and I do now, and I have every moment in between. I was far from alone, too. To say that he "turned the Reds around" isn't really fair to guys like Blake though. Even Link has credited him with doing a lot of the ground-work. I'd also say that to sack...

What is wrong with the Tahs

Not if that 10 man rugby was one-off, flat-footed "runners" one pass from the ruck. When we pick and drive we make so much ground and look goooood. I cannot understand why we don't do it more.

What is wrong with the Tahs

So how do you solve that? I'm not disagreeing, by the way. Surely you can coach the forwards to be there in support easily enough, but the rest...I'm just out of ideas, and it seems as though many other fans and the coaches are too. If the coaches have ideas, they're not cutting through to the...

What is wrong with the Tahs

Fitzpatrick, Alcock and McCutcheon would get contracts at pretty much all the other provinces. Alcock and McCutcheon possibly as depth players, but Fitzy would walk in to several starting 22s tomorrow if fit. Hangers and Mumm would get contracts if teams needed depth. Hangers, for instance...

What is wrong with the Tahs

It's possibly the only time in the game that McKibbin should have bloody well box kicked or in some other way gotten the ball away. He stood there fidgeting while Rome burned.

What is wrong with the Tahs

I agree. It only took one series of events, it seemed, to throw us off and we never really got back in to the swing of it, despite a few excellent moves. They were penalty in attack, winger fumble, penalty (opposition 3 points). The regularity with which these types of relatively minor events...
