Brothers 31-24 victors over a brave GPS today. Chambers and Shipperly played for Brothers today and Chambers in particular made a lot of yards and was a handful in attack. The Murphy brothers also provided plenty spark in attack, and everyone got to see Feldsman's (sp) speed both when he scored...

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

Much better effort from the forwards. Thought the front row were excellent and Kepu had a blinder in defence. Simmons and Horwill were also very good. Plenty of x factor in that backline and the straight running of McCabe and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is a good foil to all that dazzling stuff.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Easts ground out a 27-15 win against the Gold Coast at Bottomley Park. Three tries only meant no bonus point but the win keeps the Tigers at the top of the table. Hard to pick standouts as it was a pretty dour sort of game. There were a couple of unfamiliar (to me anyway) young backs who found...

    All Blacks Squad

I'm surprised at the omissions of Maitland and Ranger, but NZ has a whole factory of quality wingers. I also thought Freuen would be a big chance but I guess Smith and Kahui cover 13.

    Australia's Greatest Professional "Clubman"

He may not be everyone's cup of tea but Phil Waugh personifies the definition above.

Cheers 27..he's a bloody massive unit, didn't see much of his skill set yesterday but if he has a few core skills he'd be worth developing for his size alone.

And they're only going to get better with the return of their Reds! Scary really.

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

I've only ever seen a good sport whenever McCaw has been interviewed. There is a big difference between being disappointed and being ungracious. He was obviously gutted for his side and their fans. That's fair enough.

Fair selections by the look of it. Maybe Holmes unlucky not be there over Maafu? I would have thought Gerrard was a fullback option rather than centre. That would make more sense to me.

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

All the comments have been made. Wasn't the best match I've seen this year but by far and away (from my perspective at least) it was the best result! Reds, 2011 Super 15 champions...Wow, unbelievable!

    Congrats Queensland!

Nice gesture PB..and to all other team supporters who are applauding the Reds win. It's been a very long time between drinks, so this is a real moment to savour for the long suffering!

I didn't go down to Crosby Park in the end but am told that Brothers took the bikkies 30-11. Norths must have been competitive as i expected a bigger blowout score than that. Couldn't help myself and made my way down to Bottomley to watch the Tigers take on Suncoast. The guys on the sideline...

Australian Schoolboys and National Championships 2011

Shame that Qld II is getting belted. I'm curious, is most of that team made up of non GPS players? If so, maybe that highlights that there is still a considerable gulf between GPS and other schoolboy comps in Qld? Excellent reports by the way Íluvmyfooty'.
