Match of the round definitely Sunnybank v Uni at Sunnybank. Two Lucas brothers and two Tapuai brothers in the Bank line will be handy but it will be a challenge against a loaded Uni backline that includes Prior, Lance, Morahan x2, Davies and Kuridrani. Sunnybank will miss Houston in the forward...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Looking through the 2012 threads for the various S15 teams, it's good to see a number of Brisbane club players getting some attention. Not sure how accurate all the rumours are but so far the names are: Ah Wong (Sunnybank), Cottrell (Wests), Murphy (Easts), Cox (Uni), Havelu (Gold Coast). These...

    Brumbies 2012

Gee that is good work by Cox. Uni obviously saw something in him when they dragged him down from the Sunny Coast this year. Seems to be a Qld Uni - Brumbies connection there somewhere....Chapman, Moore and now Kuridrani and Cox.

Great talent spotting by both franchises. Murphy has been a standout at Easts, and Ah Wong caught the eye when Sunnybank recently bulldozered the Tigers.

I'll be honest, why does Uni need to entertain Wallaby ring ins? If anything they disturb the dynamic of arguably the best side in the comp. If all they want is match fitness and involvement then they should join one of the struggling teams...

    Brumbies 2012

I'm going to predict a breakout year for Matt To'omua in 2012. With no Gits he should make the 10 jersey his own and we will all get to see the very impressive skill set that was on display when he was a teenager. I think the Brumbies will go ok next year.

The Scariest War Dances - Pre Match Rituals

Dont know about scariest but each of the PI nations have very entertaining war dances. My favourite is probably the Samoan one. Tonga v Blacks pre games war dances at 03 world cup was very special.

What a cracking effort from Brothers out at St Lucia! As Reg reported Uni got off to a dominant start and it looked for all money like it was going to be a very long day for Brothers. To their credit they regrouped after the early Uni dominance, ground away and took their chances well. Uni...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

I tend to agree Scotty. With Genia on the paddock we see the best of Cooper...no Genia = not quite the spectacular Cooper.

    Quade Cooper's at it again...

They need to bring in a couple of "Quokka chuckers' from out West to clean things up.

Given he probably hasn't played a lot at 12 in senior footy Cyclo, but he was a cracking player in that position at elite schoolboy level. Only went to 13 to accomodate Taps in the OZ schools team. Having said that he's a damn good 13.

Tempted to go out to St Lucia if that is the case. Giteau would absolutely carve at club level...feeling a little sorry for the Bretheren with Uni having a handful of current Wallabies and Reds players.

    Shute Shield 2011

Couple of questions/observations LG: 1. Is Fa'amuasili thae massive unit who played OZ Schools a few years back? 2. Interesting to see Coridas there. Explains why I didn't see him playing for GPS in the Brissy comp last week. Does that mean that his Qld experience is over? Gee that's a...

Not sure of the full round this weekend but I believe that Uni plays Brothers at home. That will be a cracker of a game, and a true measure of Brother's redentials, given that Uni will have a few Reds back.

I don't know that playing two 12's in midfield is a good long term strategy. Mail is that the younger Morahan is a 13 in the making, and I wonder whether his older brother might also be able to be converted? There is also talk that young schoolboy whiz F'Sautia is a potential top class 13, but...

    Australian Provincial Rugby Competition

Agree! Whilst everyone wants a provincial comp and can reel off the long terms benefits, it ain't happening anytime soon. There's not many more enjoyable things to do on a Saturday arvo then watching club rugby.

Looks like Will Chambers to me...what was the team?

I think you're right. Brandon is a must return if the Tigers are going to be any show at the pointy end of the season, and White gives some considerable go forward in the midfield. What are the injury lists like at other clubs?

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Agreed Saders. Easts have a good number of key players out with injury and will be doing well to make the Finals. Gutsy effort for the guys to still be at or near the top of the table this far into the season.
