    Waratahs 2012

It will be interesting to see how Kingston goes in 2012. How big is he and does he have any pace?

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

It's just a light topic to while away the time until rugby starts again...relax fella's.

David Pocock named WA's Young Australian of the year

Gee he's an impressive young man. Most blokes his age would be content to just sit back and soak up all the adulation he gets for being one of the best opensides in the game. He deserves every good thing rhat comes his way.

    ATSI rugby team?

Cruz Ah Nau from the Force for one of the prop spots? Does Laurie Weeks have Aussie indigenous bloodlines?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

If you were a player moving to Brisbane you would also want to move to a competitive side that is capable of playing Finals footy, and Easts have been consistently there or thereabouts for the last few years with Pat at the helm. The fact that they have done it with very few Reds players speaks...

    Brumbies 2012

I'd like to see more of Hooper as he is obviously rated in the Capital and getting the U20 POTY award means he is no slouch. Those of us who support the Reds see Gill as the new messiah, so I guess we can look forward to some ding dong battles in coming years.

    Western Force 2012

What positions has Will Tupou been recruited to cover? When he was at school he was a very damaging centre, and I thought he might go on to a very high senior level in that position. He oviously chose League straight out of school, but I wonder whether he can still realise some of that...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

For some reason I am fairly certain he was an Australian schoolby in Rugby, as a backrower from memory.

    Who will emerge in 2012?

In 2011 we saw the likes of Tapuai, Vaea, Cruden, Dagg and Lambie, take their games to a new level and announce themselves as players of the future. Who else fits into the category? Who does everyone think will be the emerging stars in 2012? I'll kick it off with the Reds and suggest that...

I hope Inman gets a good crack at the 13 jumper. Liked what i saw of him at the Force this year. If he progresses well higher honours beckon.

    Did Joubert feel the pressure?

Have to agree Gagger. Forceful but reasonable posting from Drexl...lighten up lads :-)

    2011 Spring Tour

Fair enough, but if Cooper isn't there and they are auditioning, then To'omua is one worth taking a chance on. He is a lot like Barnes I guess, but far more potential IMO. On another note I do hope O'Connor is not being considered as a 10. He is a 12 through and through from where I sit. Gits' OZ...

Tomane combines massive size with above ordinary athleticism. If his head is in the right space he might be anything.

    2011 Spring Tour

It's amazing how quickly talent is turned over. Matt To'omua's potential was realised a few years ago but he is all but forgotten at the age of 21. He is, the type of 5/8th who can control a game and revel in the tight stuff. Yes, he had less than stellar S15 but I would have loved to see him...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Not sure that could be the case Bowside. Sunnybank and Uni, as T12 has alluded to, have far stronger sides on paper. Having said that, I'm excited at the depth the (supposedly) new recruits will add to Easts. If we assume that Sincock and Murphy are gone in 2012, a full strength Tigers side (...

So I'm guessing that Kimmince, Butler and Enever join Birmingham and Faulkner as Easts members of the Academy. Not sure if they are in but others worth a look are Tupou, White and Stolberg.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

With Butler, Enever and Kimmince arriving at Easts in 2012, the forward pack is going to be well bolstered, although Murphy will be lost to the Rebels won't he? It is a sad pity though that the two Coasts are losing these very promising young players.

If the rumours are to be believed about Nowlands and Pini then who is going to be coaching at Sunnybank and GPS next year? I heard that there is a new coach at Brothers as well but don't know his name. . With Mooney new at Wests in 2012 there's certainly appears to have been a coaching cleanout...

I wonder how long Mortlock will last next season? Can't see him doing the full course. Quite an impressive backline when you look at it, and pretty bloody big as well!

    7s Competitions

Very good call Jets. Kingi was quite superb as a Sevens rep and has stalled a bit in the 15's game since his selection for the Wallabies a season or two ago. He would be one of the superstars of that version of the game.
