1. Focusing on the Tuilagi knee takes away from the thrust of my original post which was, when was the last time you saw something like this come out from World Rugby when a Tier 2 team gets screwed by a ref in a RWC game. 2. There was no substantial lifting of the knee at all.

Because it's very difficult, dare I say impossible, to run hard and fast without bending or lifting your knees.

My biggest issue with the latest statement from World Rugby or whatever they are called, is that you NEVER see this kind of statement come out when a minnow - usual Manu Samoa or another PI team - have been duded by a ref. Just a week earlier, Scotland were gifted a game when a clear knock-on...

As a Manu fan - this is pretty standard. Word rugby ALWAYS fucks the PI teams - as if their own unions weren't doing it to them already :(

I thought at the time it was an ordinary call and maybe there was something I had missed but this game was not a good one by Joubert.

Pretty disgraceful to see people talking about 'flukey' tries or 'lucky' tries by Scotland. It's totally dismissive of the good pressure the Scots defence was putting on the Wallabies forcing errors and poor judgement calls. I'm sure no-one here was calling this try 'flukey' in 2003.

It's not that I care so much but it is funny that the poster who perhaps is the biggest whinger about the refs when his team loses, calls it a 'shame' when it comes from the opposition. You can disagree about 'against the play' if you want - feel free to be as wrong as you like.

I'm not. I'm showing you how you are wrong. Simply being in position of the ball doesn't mean that the play is going your way. Both the charge-down AND the intercept were from good defence from Scotland - that is actually play going their way.
