    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

I heard Leeton 1st grade were quite impressive in a K/O at Orange recently Reasoning. Our no.s at Griffith have improved and we should fill our 3 mens grades. Sounds like City might be the big improvers this year. 1st round should tell a lot. Big tests for the bottom 3 teams from last season.

Mauler you’re not making any sense. I mean is there any point in asking you do you want another season like last year when we had some teams flogged to the degree that they were? I’ll over and out as well Mauler. I will finish though with a thought about the level playing field concept you were...

I thought this was a forum where people could express opinions. I spectate at Griffith home games. I’m not a c’ttee member and don’t discuss rugby politics with Griffith board members. Your post doesn’t make that much sense to me Mauler. The Reddies Club need help with management. You’ve already...

That’s amazing. So many new students entering CSU who are good rugby players have friends/relatives playing for Aggies. The majority of potential players would not choose a team who they sense will be flogged most weeks. I didn’t really understand the comments at the end of your post but I would...

Players play where they have a chance of success. Isn’t the elephant in the room is that the playing field isn’t exactly level. If Waratah 2nd grade could quite comfortably account for Reddies 1st grade wouldn’t it make more sense to have a Waratah A and a Waratah B team in the 1st grade...

Are there 1st grade quality players in Waratahs 2nd grade? Could the Army players who come to the Wagga area be better linked to the Reddies rather than the already very strong Waratah club? Do the Aggies have excess players attached to their club that could form a 3rd grade at the Reddies? Are...

While the other Wagga clubs are busy putting their own interests first the Reddies Rugby Club is slowly but surely going out of business. I assume you don’t have to be a uni student to play for Reddies. The number of rugby clubs playing out of Wagga in the future is the responsibility of the...

You’re kidding kartman. What’s the matter with you Wagga people. Have you ever heard of the concept of co-operation. Waratahs 100 Reddies 0. Yeah mate let’s keep that scenario.

It looks like City are in the process of turning things around. Well done to them. With a new coaching staff and president maybe Reddies will start a re-building phase as well. Griffith just finished in front of City and Reddies last year and they just had a successful weekend of trials against...

The city of Wagga has the quality and quantity of rugby players to have 4 strong clubs. The best thing that could happen is a meeting between administrations of the 4 clubs to plan for the future of rugby in Wagga. The demise of Reddies is not going to help the boiled lollies much if at all.

Griffith have a trial next weekend against a couple of sth coast teams. Even at this early stage Waratahs and Aggies look like they might dominate. CSU and Griffith have 3rds. The no.s at training here at Griffith can depend on shift work rosters so hopefully our situation will improve in the...

Fair dinkum Bandar. It’s been suggested we could have a critical shortage of refs this year. I suggested clubs develop their own group of referees to make sure minor games have qualified officials for their home games. Then you complain well if we solve that problem when will these home club...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

Clubs should have refs as part of the club. 3rds, Girls and 2nds should be reffed by home club refs. 1sts should be done by impartial refs. Enough 1st grade refs should be put on retainer throughout the season by Siru to cover 1st grade games. The retainer should be financially attractive enough...

We really do have some excellent referees. In the old days when the social side of rugby was a lot bigger than it is today the refs would generally stay around and have a few beverages after the game. If we are to get more good quality referees we need to make the whole experience an enjoyable...

Are refs paid for refereeing a game? If they aren’t they should be. They have acquired accreditation. To ref a game requires a great amount of skill. Especially our game. Everything in today’s world is global and user pay. Our refs deserve appropriate remuneration. Otherwise we just don’t have...

Ok who are the big movers this year. Is there another big gap between Waratahs and the rest of us? I heard Albury have new imports. Griffith may have 2 new Fijian imports. Are Reddies and Lollipops on the way up? Will Phantoms and Bulls be stronger again this year or will Aggies keep on going...

I think we need a colts style division in country rugby zones. Probably an U19s or U20s. I realise people are going to say it’s impossible. Interestingly on the SIRU website it says SIRU Juniors hold gala days for U6s to U18s.
