Penrith played Manly yesterday. No idea about 4ths but in 3rds they were competitive for large portions of the game. Similar story in 2nds. Manly won both by about 5 tries. I left 1sts at half time with Manly again leading comfortably.

I wonder how many of you have actually talked to him or seen him play Rugby. The fact is, he was parachuted into an Australian team after being injured in his last year. He then went to Norths colts and grade. Following this the Pepsi's and then City Ford. The guy is a rugby player.

He played one colts game for Norths and unfortunately it was at Manly Oval. Destruction. Went to grade the following week. The major problem in Australian rugby is a lack of c*^t, if he has it then bring him back.

Where's Michael Hodge, Tom Boidin and Hugh Hawkins? Also James Dargaville surely cant be their best option at 12. If so then they may be struggling for backs as he is a backrower who only recently converted to a 12.

The thought of people being SIGNED to play colts makes me cringe.

Some of the options taken by the Rebels were interesting. I dont see a big problem with them going for goal. What concerned me was the decision making in general play. An example of this would be the kick by Phipps when the Rebels were gaining momentum. Straight to a Tah and away they went.

Gutherson, no chance Manly allow him to play rugby due to risk of injury. Also Tyrone Smith and one of the Setu's are just 2 of many that were overlooked due to their alignment with Rugby League.

Clint Gutherson has signed with Manly for the next 4 years. He was the fullback in NSW 1's last year. He also played in the Commonweath 7s. What also made me laugh was reading that after he had signed he was offered a deal by the ARU.
