I think the appointment of McGahan suggests Ewen is the front runner. The only other things I can see happening in order of likeliness are: 1) Ewen goes back to the reds as director of Rugby. Jim Carmichael has already stated he will reopen negotiations if the ARU squib on Link. 2) Ewen goes...

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

I know this has been asked a million times, but when to we get to put him in a wobs jersey?

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

Por que no Los Dos? Would love to see Quade get a few shots under a new coach for the Wobs. We have only ever seen him play under Deans so would be nice to have White or Ewen calling the shots. I am not trying to start a shit fight here, not blaming Deans or anything, but sometimes a new coach...

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

Still prefer Gill over Hoops as the starting 7. Hoops will, as always, come on as a power sub at the 60 minute mark and rip into any team we are playing with his crazy eyes and insane work rate. Gilly is really showing that he is big game material and can work the breakdown effectively. However...

Fair enough. Like I said, Links approach is different to Whites. I don't think you will successfully beat sense into these guys overnight and turn them into model students within a few weeks at wallabies camp, they have to be ongoing projects that the coach works on improving during the time he...

Inside Shoulder Didn't say there weren't, in fact I said there were many. I just feel as though the only things we've heard are purely political and show that the ARU aren't looking at this in the light of what is best for the team... In my view, Link doesn't take sh*t either. It's one of the...

I personally think it is pathetic that supposedly "high ranking" ARU power brokers and certain board members have expressed a clear provincial bias against McKenzie through claims like "he's a forward so he can't coach backs", "take your reds hat off" and "he wont be coach as long as my arse is...

gold heart what about those from the reds that have stepped up under Ewen now/ in the past? The likes of S and A Finger, B Tapuai, Liam F'ing Gill, J Slippahhh?? I know not all of these blokes have stood the test of time but we have only seen one series from the Brumbies blokes you'd mentioned...

That is absolute gold. Kudos to you, sir.

I personally think there are merits for both options but out of interest, why don't you think Link is ready?? He had a serious amount of work to do at the reds, arguably more than White, and succeeded. He has already rejected the offer to coach them because he himself didn't think he was ready...

As much as I don't like the brand that comes with him, he would be an awesome player to add to the team... He could play anywhere (but ten...) In the backline. And him and QC (Quade Cooper) would gel well I reckon. You'd just need a coach that disciplines them.

THe fact we have only had 5 world cups since rugby went professional also makes the statistic somewhat questionable.... Bring on Ewen!

    long term coach?

So we don't think we'll ever achieve the level of the All Blacks no matter what we do?? Far out you lot are negative... The fact that the Reds run around beating every NZ team in Super Rugby just shows that the players are beatable with the right coach and gameplan. To just give in to the...

    long term coach?

Braveheart81 Just a reply to your one of your previous posts regarding Eddie's comments: I think if I personally had to rate Robbie's 'success' (and thats in all things such as player development, ability to entertain and not just winning ratio) it would never be consistent for his tenure. I...
