New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

With Genia out it might be time to go Knuckles-esque and play your 2nd 5 at halfback...

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Why can't they just admit that the extra time is really needed to decide which player will be the all important number 24....

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

I just read that Gavrilova was up 6-4, 3-0 against world number 12 Suarez-Navarro when Suarez-Navarro retired hurt. As for the test match, surely all the pressure on the ABs with the "tier 1" test record on the line against an ever improving Wallaby team that no one expects to win.

Carter, Rokocoko , Inhoff - Corticosteroid Use (Allegedly)

He could've just said, "happy that's all over, see you on the field".

Carter, Rokocoko , Inhoff - Corticosteroid Use (Allegedly)

Dan posted on his Facebook last night about him being cleared. He actually applauded the efforts of those that try to stamp out "drug cheating"

What do you mean by pure ability? Is that individual ability or team ability?

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

I'd bring Fekitoa back into the frame. He's played his best test footy to date against the Boks.

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

This test might be a chance to change a few things up. After a poor test performance, travel factor and "weary bodies", a neutral venue, there may be enough reasons to justify it. In saying that I don't see Folau being moved to centre. Cheika seemed pretty definitive (for better or worst)...

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

No need to rush Koroibete when there are other options available. If he is selected without any NRC/Super rugby, IMO that would smack of massive desperation. Building combinations with a clear game plan should be the priority. You would hope that is what has been happening during the...

Was he? Thought the Sharks outside backs outplayed the Storm opppsites by some margin. Feki and Bird etc were superb.

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

Come on cyclo, don't cheat us out of a cheating All Blacks discussion. I'll feel extremely cheated if it is cut short before McCaw is mentioned and I haven't retorted with a George Smith cheated his way to greatness with one knee on the ground.....

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

It's early days yet. I liked his physicality and cover across the ground tonight. I guess Luatua hadn't shown much either at this point either. And then he packed on the kegs and found himself on the outer. I think it will take a massive effort for Luatua to get back in the mix.

NRC Rnd 6: Sydney Rays v Canberra Vikings

Vikings looked very pedestrian out there today. Not sure what it was, but they looked slow, flat footed and that was just the attack. Defensively they were unorganised and slow to react. Well done to the Rays for exploiting it.

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

Although Seb V at lineout time Pocock isn't always used in what I would classify as a traditional openside role but more in the no8 role. He does feature at the back of the maul from an attacking lineout. I would say a more traditional role of a 7 at lineout time is out in the defensive/attack...

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

Playing at no.8 is very different to the other loose forward positions. Trapping the ball at scrum time, picking the ball up, combining with the halfback, etc. Just ask Kaino who struggled to do those key skills as an 8. As a ball runner, tackler, ranging skills etc, he is right up there...

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

If the strategy without Pocock is to continue to be hard at the ball, then someone like Fardy, who also plays hard at the ball would be a natural fit. But I think there are genuine concerns with Fardy's form that they may not be too crash hot on him playing until rectified. I think there might...

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

Some good names in there. The overall balance does seem a little off with a 20/13 split though. I would as a minimum drop one of the locks for a back as 5 locks plus Mumm seems a lot. If the Cooper/Foley 10/12 is persisted with, you will need some cover additional cover in the squad there...

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

I know Mumm isn't yours or many others favourite, but why would a guy who has started the last two tests that you have won be left out of a squad altogether? Would seem a strange move to me, in particular when you consider the coach has changed it already a heap this season. I recognise that...
