    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2011

IIRC Hawker repeated - although the year before him was Creer who was in his first year of Yr12. Mike's younger brother was however captain in his only year 12.

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

Sadly not even first division but second - Barraclough Cup and Blunt Cup winners - interesting year at the OBs - Jones was a real "either you're with me or akin me" personality

Nice summation - all on all a good game!

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2011

My takeaways where [1] a team of good players almost got done by a team of spirited guys; and [2] the dummy runner is allowed to interfere with the defense. :-( I watched the warmups and they were chalk and cheese - one team coached by a group of gentlemen that seemed to be more than a bunch of...

    Shute Shield 2011

I'm sorry guys but the west is a traditional league stronghold with AFL paying top dollar to juniors to intrude - from what I have read Penrith seems to rely more on Kiwi expats than local juniors - reminds me of the joke - I'm into sado-masochism, necrophilia, and beastiality yada yada yada -...

Nice comeback - indeed Kings seemingly have an abundance of coaching talent - likely they will also coach the 1stXV next year - Kings have a practice of forming potential championship teams at the 16A level and having the same coaches (Edgerton/Parry?? and one other) for three years.

I wanted to respond to your earlier post (5.35) but you have deleted it - quick answer - you are right - we are all entitled to an opinion - no matter how informed. I suppose many on this thread felt that Joeys filling 9 spots in the 3 teams and 2 spots on the bench was a good outcome...

The funniest thing I have read in years...

"I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2011

Hey Sticky - lighten up please - Joeys has over 40 rugby teams - they can't all play on one oval. Also at the larger schools the honour of playing on main oval is huge, and the boys value it greatly as durkadurka has described. Different schools have different traditions.

Why does the hooker throw in lineouts?

No point having attacking options if you can't win your throws into the line out - should be non-jumper with best throwing ability - first priority must be to win the line out.

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

How about the fact that we played 3 non- Aussie finalists away?

Selection politics and bias, Gold Squads unfairness etc.

I think BWF on another thread summed it up well - the cream usually rises to the top in Colts and Grade. Unfortunately my club seems to have a disproportionate number of better players, which tends to allow the "Name" players to continually look good while playing in a dominant team. Having...
