    Brumbies v Rebels, Round 16 2014

Agree with your thoughts however Shota being benched says to me that he's gone at the end of the season and Pat is getting more experience. However I do wish Kingston was starting, TT just seems to prefer size over speed in all positions.

    Vice captain.

The captain is clearly going to be Higgers. Do you think the recent clean shaven, short back and sides look is a coincidence? He's obviously been told to clean up for the presser. ;)

I'm really looking forward to Higgers being named captain. Not that I agree with that, this thread just needs a lot more outrage and drama. It's about the only thing I miss from the Deans era really.

    Rebel v Tahs, round 15 2014

He's holding on to the shield like it's made of chocolate. Weeks' ankle must be a touch worse than expected then, oh well, don't lose a lot with PAE starting but it will be interesting to see how big max goes at tight head, looks like he's the THP reserve? Please rugby jesus, don't let...

Genuinely surprised at Pek over Smith but otherwise can't complain too much. Beale at 10 is a little worrying... Did anyone not pick that exact back row?

if Jones misses out it will literally be the greatest injustice of all time.

    Rebel v Tahs, round 15 2014

Nah, your scrum is going to get toweled, that's about the only thing I am confident about in this match ;)

    Rebels 2014

With 20 odd caps for the Reds. More meant that reds are probably in the market for props, Isn't Jono Owen moving on? Holmes isn't getting any younger either. Purely a hunch.

    Rebels 2014

Solid player having a good season but yeah, not quite what was expected. Pretty sure Jones and Inman are both signed up until 2015 already so Woodward and Weeks are the big names. Very much hope both stick around but won't be terribly surprised if they both head home to the Canes and Reds...

    Rebels 2014

Fingers crossed for Woodward then, I know the Canes are chasing him too but he's almost guaranteed to do better over here than be stuck behind Smith, Dagg and Piatau. Who else is up at the end of this year and is 'popular'? Weeks, Ellison?

    Wallaby Watch 2014

You're correct there actually, my bad. My (incorrect) memory was that he was only playing because of injury crisis. As you say he was definitely in the squad and would have been just been benched if not for said injury. However I will stand by the fact he's never regained his form since his...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

As it's announced on Thursday it's rampant squad speculation time! This is what I want to see taking into account form and injuries, though I doubt it will resemble this. Props: Slipper, Sio, Smith, Kepu, Alexander, Longbottom Hookers: Squeaky, TPN, Charles Second Row: Simmons, Jones, Carter...

    Rebels 2014

Wallabies squad on Thursday, is it time to speculate on how few rebels will make the squad? I honestly think we have the best scrum in the conference when it's at full strength (so the pack on Saturday plus Horie), even our reserve props are good scrummagers which gives up points over the...

    Reds v Rebels, Sat May 17 @ 7:40

Interesting match, are the reds at their nadir with the Crusaders loss or is there even worse shame to come at the hands of the Rebels? Can they regroup after a crushing loss and show they have something to prove? They have the players to that's for sure. On the other hand? Can the rebels...

Geez I hope they let Dave Dennis keep that jersey as a memento, he's not going to get another one any other way.

    Rebels 2014

Can't blame them for staying loyal, though I do wonder how they fit To'omua, Lilo and McCabe into the backline when all are fit, but I guess form and injuries will sort that out. Very jealous of that depth. Here's hoping Barnes is feeling like a comeback, he's not going to fighting for a...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Can't blame Mowen too much as he's pushing the twilight of his career and it's time to make some dollars. However Douglas & Pyle are still young with good chances to play for the wallabies so their choice seems purely fiscal. There is an argument they're both down the pecking order now and they...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Rebels scrum was equal or better of the sharks tonight. I'm not saying pick Weeks at tighthead but a certain Luke Jones is pretty good in the second row during a scrum and is a meter making machine around the park without giving away brain fart penalties. Hopefully Woodward sticks around until...
