    Wallabies v All Blacks Sydney

On a lighter note, Gits is definitely standing on his tip toes in the team photo haha: http://planetrugby.com/gallery/story/0,25928,9825_6368305,00.html

Mate Horwill's 2m - same as Sharpey and Eales. You have a point though, both are enforcers as opposed to lineout specialists. Sharpe for Horwill, fair enough.

    Haha saw that, respect.

    With no bias whatsoever, here's my line-up (assuming both sides at full fitness): 1. Robinson 2. Polota Nau 3. Franks 4. Thorn 5. Horwill 6. Kaino 7. McCaw 8. Read 9. Genia 10. Carter 11. Ioane 12. Nonu 13. Smith 14. Jane 15. Muliaina 16. Moore 17. Woodcock 18. Sharpe 19...

Jerseys; the good, the bad and the ugly

That is a seriously awful jersey with a seriously awful sponsor. Also, wtf is Henson doing? I love that he hasn't even turned out for his club, yet he's still modelling the national strip. If Kooga make ours a shade more gold as opposed to yellow I'll probably fork out for a RWC one next...

    Wallabies v All Blacks Sydney

I see we're using the prostate cancer "blue balls" again (I couldn't think of a way to put that without sounding suss). Last time we played with the blue balls (again, nothing suss) we beat the Boks. This is a clear sign that we're gonna bash the sheepshaggers. Wobs by 15.

Hong Kong Bledisloe test in doubt?

Fuck I hope it's Twickenham. Selfish perhaps, but I only get to see the Wallabies play England, a Bledisloe would be the tiiiits.

    Wallabies vs Boks Bloemfontein

I think the problem is that he's the best 13 and 15 - he's one of our most consistent line-breakers and is by far the best player under the high ball, crucial aspects of those respective positions. Like you say though, now that Kurtley is playing well at 15, and because we don't have another 13...

    Wallabies v All Blacks Sydney

Completely agree with whoever it was that said we need to use the bench earlier. The boys are going to be stuffed and we need to have faith in the backup to close out the later stages of the game. Burgess and Barnes played their best footy for the Wallabies in ages in Bloem so if Genia and Gits...

    the Real Deal Kurtley Beale!!!!!!

Haha I had liftoff after the flags went up. Never thought he'd get it...what a hero.

    wallabies wish list?

Looks pretty good actually, but I'd definitely pick Shmoo over JOC (James O'Connor) - still can't see JOC (James O'Connor) as a winger, even if Deans can. I don't think he was that great at Loftus and Mitchell, even though he's not all that popular these days, always looks dangerous when he runs.

    John Plumtree on Robbie Deans

Speaking of new coaches - http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,,27648949-23217,00.html Larkham as backs coach? Sounds good to me.

    Wallaby Backline Highlights: Part 4 - 2002 to 2005

Mortlock: what a hero. I remember getting some physio work on my achilles around 2001/2002 at the same place that Morty went to. Even to me, some random 11 year old, he was always such a nice bloke. That went a long way to making him my favourite Wallaby, well, that and the kind of runs he made...

    Wallabies vs Boks Bloemfontein

Disappointed about Chisholm...he's got the biggest guns in world rugby but is still a bit shit. Simmons is the future, would much rather have him starting. That facebook thing on the blog says it all: why did Turner and McCabe get dragged all the way to SA if they're not gonna be used? Never...

So, basically what people have been suggesting around here for weeks now...catch up Robbie.

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

Thank you! Didn't mean to steal your thunder if you've been posting it before. Maybe a break on the EOYT would do him some good, could give McCalman/Higgers/Hodgson a bit more game time and get him right for next year. I'm a huge fan of Rocky and was in denial about it for ages, but the...

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

Don't know whether it's the captaincy, but something definitely seems to be hampering him. He hasn't come close to replicating his Leinster form and it looks like he's still carrying an injury - he can barely change direction when he runs and he seems to slow down a lot before hitting the line...

    Victor Matfield

Like Victor, I'm a chicken-legged lock. Unlike Victor, I'm pretty ordinary. Huge respect for an all time great. Clearly, smarts and skill still trump size.

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

Glad I'm not the only one who's completely baffled by this bench, not to mention the starting lineup. Two 12's but no lock on the pine, JOC (James O'Connor) on the wing, Ma'afu and Brown still in the pack...there is so much wrong with this team. I'm predicting a thrashing...Boks by 20.
