The overall rugby IQ in our players has absolutely plummeted the last decade (or two).

How is Kellaway not a solid winger?

Nah I see your point of your view, maybe there wouldn't be a crucial must-win line-out in the last 5minutes of a game if we didn't miss that line-out throw in the first 5 minutes, maybe we'd be ahead on the scoreboard. But it's one of those things you can't really prove 100% either way. I...

Your goal keeper point is also ironic, given there is literally goalkeepers who specialise in shootouts compared to starting matches. Pressure matters. Moreso in the sport then most jobs.

Well I think this is where we disagree. You hear ex-players talk about this all the time. Rugby is about moments, the great players stand up in the 'big moments'. They don't always have the stats to follow. A missed line-out in the first 5minutes has a lot less bearing on the game as you have...

I think we have been over this already. I'm sure at least 2 of Fainga's missed throws were crucial line-outs in the last 5minutes of games. Despite your stats I'm still more stressed with Fainga throwing. He has missed crucial line-outs for the Brumbies too whereas I wonder if Porecki's stats...

Sorry but you have to compare his performance to the alternative. Which is Gordon, who also had a poor game, with a yellow card. IMO one is not clearly worse then other. Both are equally poor.

He's also a good goal kicker. He slotted a difficult match winner this year. He could have been the hero where Donaldson failed.

I think this is the main reason why so many of us can't understand Tate's continued non-selection, especially as a bench impact player.

Longergan I thought was even better then White in super rugby, but he was very average in Aus A so I don't think he warrants selection. I would rather persist with Tate.

With FF (Folau Fainga'a)'s throwing issues, and his better scrummaging and general play, I would much prefer him starting. It's too stressful having a line-out with 5minutes to go without Porecki throwing.

Yeah weird one. I was really looking forward to a Marky Marc/Wright (preferably Marky), Kellaway, Campbell back 3. I think it's nicely balanced and has an out-and-out fullback. Guess it isn't so.

Absolutely. I also assume Skelton is unavailable for Wales being an overseas pick. Anyone know if this is true?

Personally I don't think Hodge or Campbell are any less prone to errors compared to Kellaway. I think Kellaway is the safer more consistent option at 15 compared to the both of them. Also if you're going all out attack, then Campbell would be selected over Kellaway too. Campbell is easily the...

The great thing about Kellaway who hasn't had a great season is that his worse games aren't that bad. (at least compared to Wright, Petaia).

I agree. Having Skelton, Tupou at the start will really fatigue the opposition which will pay dividends late in the game. It would also establish a strong scrum from the start which could set a precedent for the rest of the match for any 50/50 scrum collapses. I really don't like the idea of...

No Ardie or Eden again, craziness. Am should have been there last year, has he even played this year.

Nah just chatroom and forums talking Porecki up and talking down on Fainga.

Perception is key. Plus Fainga's personality doesn't help, always in the middle of niggle, backchat, and ref's giving him warnings.

Maybe they are giving Noah/JOC (James O'Connor)/Foley complete control to call the play, and they are just less likely to call the play to themselves.
