    Ewen McKenzie Resignation

Thanks Bullrush, this pretty much sums up the angst I have over this and my perception of the 'culture' of the wallabies. If mateship and loyalty just exists to enable mediocrity, fuck it. Hooper is an inspirational player and I agree with those that think he can grow into a great captain...

    Ewen McKenzie Resignation

Isaac Moses has to be a front runner candidate. He seems to have a great rapport with the media and more influence over a core group of wallabies than any other candidate. He can bring a great culture and maybe when the going gets tough he can threaten to take them all to league.

    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

Wallabies gave everything today, they were shattered. Really proud of the way they played. Problem is you just get a little loose and NZ punish you in seconds.

To be fair Thurston is a pretty astute selection. He's closer to Dan Carter than any current wallaby.

I have entered a bizarre Lord of the Flies alternate reality.

I don't know that and McKenzie denies that he knew at the time. The only evidence there is supports that he didn't know. If the ARU starts asking questions via an appointed investigator, she has to fess up. If Beale and the players who should have known better had done so at the time, this...

Hope we don't see our scrum on roller skates again. Higgers. Horwill.

So as well as being sexually harassed and bullied, Patston was somehow responsible as manager for sorting out her persecution by Beale? Right. So just clarify again the double jeopardy?

    Kurtley Beale

It appears to have been dealt with to the satisfaction of Beale and some of the players, who obviously happy if it disappeared without any sanction for Beale. But how do you have double jeopardy without the first hearing and any consequences? And without management knowing about it?

I don't blame the waratahs management - they're not even relevant though WTF for any sensible person speaking unreservedly for Beale at this point - or the waratahs players (apart from Beale). I'm prepared to sink the boot into the Sydney media but hey they're just trying to sell newspapers...

And all victims of sexual harassment have the right to not report it? She is still the wronged party. Beale made this happen. The other players may have been complicit. I'm not going to say Patston did everything perfectly, but blaming her for this mess is clearly not right. I'm not going to...

In this context, Patston is not the manager. She is an employee that has been sexually harassed by another employee. With an unknown number of players (other employees) complicit.

Who has starred in the NRC

These days you may be disadvantaged being a pro footballer - in that medicare now states it won't pay anything for your treatment for injuries sustained in your work, which specifically makes run of the mill health insurance and private care out of the question unless your club/organisation will...

The contrast between this crap taking place with the complicity and the inane approval of some of the playing group, and the standards the all blacks set themselves, or players like Pocock set themselves, is insane. Being the best requires absolute commitment. It requires setting standards and...

Probably authored by committee in Beales room by his mates when (they thought) they realised the possible consequences of the messages.

I think the chances of them having a secret ballot on the matter are slim, which means he might know what a couple of louder voices want, or what his closest mates and co-conspirators think. Maybe. There was punishment in June? Or weasel words and applied pressure from his mates on Patston?
