    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Heather's post is only referring to PREMIER rugby, where clubs receive funding from the ARU direct. Agree 100% with how tough life is in clubland, but the Premier clubs receive a grant from the ARU. The exceptions of Gold Coast & Norths may also be attributable to them not having medical rooms...

    Women's Rugby Union

Not great Jets- a bit cobbled together since Redlands pulled out at the last minute & our girls stepped in. The Brits were a very organised outfit, both on- and off-field I'll be interested to see how the girls go this weekend (if there will be a game given the weather) because that'll be 3...

    #askLIPDOGG

Against all odds and logic, Michael Lipman, the Melbourne Rebels flanker, former England International, and Social Pages regular, is going to write for us. We've named his post #askLIPDOGG and this thread is where you can post any questions for him. We'll take them to him and he'll answer what...

    Injury treatment

My bread and butter: Generally most grazes take 4 weeks to heal enough to not bleed every game & training session. Until then, cover the graze with gauze/tissue and cover that with strapping tape. Wherever possible, try to wrap even a bit of the tape covering it AROUND the limb- tape sticks...

    Women's Rugby Union

It started out looking like the Sunnybank girls were going to give our girls a hiding, but then the Uni girls worked back into it. I was strapping at the time, so I'm not 100% sure on the score, but I think it ended up 2 tries to 1? Considering its been 4 weeks since the last game, I think the...

    Women's Rugby Union

The Uni v Sunnybank game was recorded. I'm negotiating to get a highlights package made to post up with the 3rd tier post, but not sure if I'll be quick enough. If not, I'll post into here.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Yes, Uni v GPS playing for the Halley Appleby trophy. It will be emotional, but playing a trial at GPS will have (hopefully) laid a few demons to rest. No one wants to leave the field and tell his parents we didn't win his trophy. Both teams are undefeated, with Uni just one bonus point ahead...

Liam was a great guest IMO - personable, could laugh at himself, honest, quite articulate... Welcome back anytime!

    Cringeworthy Kearns/Martin moments.....minutes......hours......

I'd like to go back to the olden days where instead of trying to predict the future to SOUND like you know what you are talking about, you ACTUALLY KNEW what you were talking about and simply called what was going on. I think it was Alan McGilvray who advised a young Richie Benaud "if you have...

    Women's Rugby Union

(Queensland) Uni defeated Wests tonight in their usual tough encounter. Tricia Brown looked very impressive. She leaves on Saturday to go into camp & the girls fly to London Tuesday. Wests looked dangerous, especially out wide, but handling was the killer.

Drew Mitchell's mum was like that whe Drew was in Colts too. Every time he got the ball you'd hear "GO DREW". Gotta love parents, hey. :)

    Cipriani dumped

Hear hear But at the same time, his teammates will miss him - you don't spend that much time with someone and not have a bond. And although his antics have been train-wreck like, people (including his teammates) are always drawn to the guy who's having fun.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Uni Prems got up over Sunnybank, but I don't know if proper scores were kept. Throughout the day, results seemed even-ish? I rely on hearing club songs to make that judgement. Bacon & egg burger at Kenmore was outstanding- also supporting the U12s trip to NZ. Winning!

Qld Red got through 3 from 3 on the first day of the National Women's Sevens comp at Riverview. They face WA in the semi tomorrow morning at 10-ish.

    Reds v Brumbies - Super Rugby Round 7 2012

Don't you dare- his work on dissecting the processes of journalism is too brilliant to take away from this site!! Bruce: PLEASE NEVER WRITE FOR "CREDIBLE" OUTLETS!!

    Waratahs 2012

I like the qualification "unnecessarily" cruel, as it implies that some people just deserve it. (They do) Agree with your twitter comments Bruce - I also find it much easier to poke fun via a blog or forum post because it allows you to develop a thought more completely.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Uni played the Filth and got up 40-24 after being down 17-12 at halftime, scoring 2 tries in the first half and 4 tries in the second. Apologies for the Uni-centric nature of this review, but I really only watch one team. Will Thompson scored a couple of tries and was a standout...
