Agreed and on watching this I'm even more convinced Stead was the unluckiest player coming out of this match not to be picked in NSW 1s (though i havent seen anything of ISA's Freeman this year, so can't fairly compare them)

There was a great lesson in there for all players aspiring to higher level - play as a team and individual success is much more likely to follow. Play as an individual and selectors may well overlook you, even if highly fancied in pre match punditry.

Hard to say. Last year CAS made the final and went well against Pres A before having 7 selected to NSW. ISA who lost 2 out of 3 matches had 9 chosen. GPS had 10 and CHS only 1 (IIRC). You would expect majority to come from the finalists. After that, there doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern.
