Can anyone confirm the Trinity, Aloys and Barker match ups for this w/e Knox v Scots @ Scots Waves v New @ QP Barker v Joeys 3rds @ Barker Aloys v Brook? @ ? Trinity v Grammar @ ?

    CAS Rugby 2017

Need to keep this in perspective. New are a very good side and won well, but it was 5 tries to 3 and if Knox can improve in a few areas, would be an interesting rematch. Waves also won well v Joeys and seem to be travelling strongly bar a blip v Kings. But make no mistake, New should be a...

Just giving this a bump as curious myself.

Where have I sniped at GPS schools of the GPS thread in general? I think you'll find I have always given credit to the GPS teams for being well turned out and playing hard, entertaining rugby. Having seen some of the gloating that has taken place in the past when GPS schools have dominated I...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Funny how in previous years when GPS dominated pre season trials, no-one ever suggested that posters take it elsewhere. How attitudes change when the results are not what some people want. Sideline, suggest we just continue discussion of trials on the CAS thread. All GPS supporters are...

Apologies WLF - a misguided attempt on my part at acronym humour.

W88 - I completely agree, but didn't you just 'select' a CAS team on Green and Gold?

80-0 to Aloys with game called off just after HT

    NSW AAGPS 2017

That would typically be seen as evident in the alacrity with which you joined the tipping comp - few do that for events they are disinterested in.

    CAS Rugby 2017

WLF - WTF? Why would any CAS supporter say that only 5 CAS boys will make it across a NSW squad of 44? London to a brick he's a GPS supporter and a confirmed one eyed one at that. If CAS can carry some of this trial form into the rep match ups v GPS and ISA there will be many more than 5 in the...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Waves v New next week could be epic. I suspect the GPS battle this year will ultimately be decided between New v Scots, and W will clearly be a contender for the CAS title, so it will be a great baramoter for how the 2 associations are traveling. New are very organised and have the big, hard...

No Regrets - I suspect you may regret saying that.

    CAS U16s 2017

Knox 16As appear to be building nicely after another strong win v New today. Great to see that Sam Rechner is back and hopefully fully recovered. This and the apparent strength of the 16Bs who also had a good win bodes well for Knox Opens in 2018

Welcome back Azzuri. Haven't seen you for a while since the post below. It's a shame to hear you have apparently lost your enthusiasm for these trials since being the first to dive in to the unofficial 'GPS v CAS trials tipping comp'. I wonder why? "Rich_E said: ↑ UNOFFICIAL TIPPING COMP...

    CAS Rugby 2017

New most definitely deserved the win. The penalty count against Knox was high but reflected the pressure that New put Knox under esp at the breakdown. In his after function speech the Knox captain commented on the fairness of the officiating. Knox were brave in defeat, scrambled well and...

New 29 Knox 17 FT. New were more aggressive and deserved the win. A yellow card to Knox just before half time saw New score and covert which didn't help. New the better team on the day. Angus Bell was outstanding and a handful every time he touched the ball.
