    Fair enough.

Thorn did not have immediate success that waned over time like your examples. Your examples are the antithesis of the current situation.

Changing coaches won't achieve anything. Thorn took the Reds from consistently losing to every single side to consistently beating every Australian side. That's pretty good considering the limits imposed upon his coaching.

Reds did better than I expected.

TLDR - Blah blah blah Gel just sayin' what he always does anyways. Like I said, wtf would I know? I don't work at the Reds. We'll find out tonight anyways

That is what I am talking about though. I think I am just using a different definition for fundamentals: There's clearly enough *ability* in our players, but they do not have adequate training to develop the fundamental skills to be able to execute effectively. Passing. Kicking. Rucking. A...

Blues vs Reds, Sat 14 May, 2022. Eden Park.

My take is that Thorn has been trying to get the reds to play a more New Zealand game style of rugby which for the past 3 years has done pretty well against other Australian sides. The problem is that the fundamentals of the players skills are not there so when it comes to playing against the...

Much as I think JOC (James O'Connor) will have a positive impact on the Reds performance, I'm gonna stay with my scoreline coz I think the rest of the fundamentals are just not there ATM. But by geebus, I sincerely hope we turn it around.

We will lose to Pacifika as well. There is nothing to suggest we will beat them at the moment.

Hahah, what a way for the game to finish. Lol

Reds vs Chiefs, 7:45pm Friday, April 29 2022 @Suncorp Stadium

Well, maybe if the Reds actually played the game within the rules and executed their plays properly, the referee might have a better time allowing the game to actually break out. Just a thought.

Lol, the longest penalty advantage in the history of any sport ever.

Reds to lose this one by half the points that the chiefs score. Probably around 36-18 or so.

Hurricanes v Reds Sat 23rd April

Maybe you are right, maybe we should lower our expectations and settle for the pretty substandard performances we trundled out for better part of 30 years between 1980 and 2010. /s I would posit that we have never been competitive with the elite in soccer or basketball. We absolutely have been...

Hurricanes v Reds Sat 23rd April

The best and brightest of ours will still make it in all the other country's competitions. Talent is *not* the issue. And talent identification from professional organisations around the world will still identify the exceptional school kids and premier rugby players from across Australia...

Hurricanes v Reds Sat 23rd April

Yep. I didn't say I'd like it. But the outcome for the wallabies would be infinitely better. *Edit*: I've loved super rugby, but not since 2014 or so when the standard of Australian players' skills has just been steadily decreasing.

Hurricanes v Reds Sat 23rd April

That right there is the problem. What we should be doing is dismantling super rugby altogether and feeding *all* our top players and coaches to professional playing countries elsewhere.
