Only seen him play last year at 10 vs Scots in trials. Understand he is injured and no certainty he will be back any time. If he hasn’t had playing time how can he get GPS selection?

Size from Scots back line might not beat Newington’s speed though. J. McLean, Barton, Siteni and McGregor are all GPS 1st place sprinters.

I’m sure I know you. I will PM you. I have a lot of friends in your year. 1992 what a feat. Never to be equalled I’m sure.

Excellent analysis thank you. Also what years where you at Wyvern? I was 1979 to 1983 starting main school in 1984.

With McGregor’s speed (GPS 400m champion) have they ever played him at wing? He’d be an excellent finisher

any idea when all 4 will be back?

Haven’t heard of him but will keep an eye out. What’s the Scots no9 like? They had a good 9/10 combo last year but don’t know if they are paired again this year. Sorry I meant in GPS 1sts. New certainly has a good back line (Siteni who I believe is the younger brother of Tyrone Taukomo, the...

He is a class player no doubt.
  9. DragonMan

    NSW AAGPS 2022

Definitely, surprised he wasn’t chosen last year or even year before. I can’t think of another GPS 9 in contention for that spot in GPS 1sts.

The New no 9 is Billy Dickens. 3 year 1sts player and before that played an age group up. Always gets good clean ball out to the back line. Nice humble kid too. No relation just been watching him and New closely for the last few years.

I think they are cousins. One is son of Micheal and the other the son of Peter. Not sure which is which. When Peter was at New I did athletics with him, he ran one age group up. I’m presuming a good amount of their skills (hand eye coordination, athleticism etc) come from genetics. No doubt the...

two random questions: 1. Nick Chan from Joeys - is this the same boy whose named has appeared in the Joeys 1sts and 2nds team 1sts for at least 3 years now? If so why hasn't he had higher honours since playing in Joeys 1sts/2nds for 3 years+ is quite a feat ? 2. Why isn't Cranbook stronger in...

My point was that if fees are the same why doesn't say, Shore and Newington have about the ranking? Are the parents of Grammar students really that much wealthier than the parents at Joeys (many of whom pay boarding fees which hare almost double the Grammar day boy only fees). I would assume you...

Also I just checked the my school website which says 99% of students at Trinity Grammar come from a non English speaking background. 99%! Are these my school website stats correct (noting it says the ICSEA rating is based on parents information..are we now presuming everyone is honest about...

Very surprised at this ICSEA "ranking". All schools (apart from High) charge almost exactly the same fees, based on this, a casual observation of the demographics of GPS schools plus my own experience (educated at Newington with current family members at Grammar, King's and Scots), I would have...

a few quick questions. 1. Is New 3rds playing in the GPS comp? I saw New 2nds played Scots 3rds last weekend? Are there really that many Lebanese boys at New that it would make a difference re rugby, I have seen only a handful evrytime i watched a home game and none were playing rugby. 4. Wha...

What about King's ? I thought it was the first GPS school to have AFL as far back a ten years ago.

I'm wondering how the dayboys (or even boarders) who are academic and play 1stXV and are sitting for HSC fit everything into their schedule. I would imagine by the time game is over, speeches are done etc, if any study is done at all it must be only a few hour on Saturday evening and at most all...
