Even Darwin himself said cohesion is secondary to ability - its just the next best factor to predicting performance all other things being equal. You cant tell me a test side cant figure out lineout systems with and without Skelton. If that is actually the case we are screwed regardless.

Thorn seems more suited to a director of rugby typed role. Great bloke to have around just not as your head coach.

Basically, we need Tupou fit. Or we need to field him and try to compensate for his lack of fitness around the field for the sake of propping the scrum up.

Is that not just a function of more dispersed talent? 14 teams or whatever versus 5? I prefer that model personally. A couple of test stars among a team of club level players in a competition with many clubs. It's how most competitions work.

It was right for them and us.

    Round 13 : Reds v Drua 18 May (Fiji)

Okay... is inability to defend his wing late in the game was a very large factor.

    Round 13 : Reds v Drua 18 May (Fiji)

Vunivalu basically singlehandedly lost you the Blues match...

    Round 13 : Reds v Drua 18 May (Fiji)

Yeah unless there's a specific injury concern there's no real reason to 'rest' a player in Super Rugby. Its just not that long. Rotation maybe but leaving Ryan out wouldn't have been my call particularly given Vunivalu is barely a real player.

I'm coming round to the view that you have both Kellaway and Wright on the field. I'd personally have Wright on the wing because I think he's a better winger than Kellaway and Kellaway has historically had a lower error rate.
