What is wrong with the Tahs

PS. Even though he's a Kiwi, I'm not necessarily suggesting that Henry is into golden showers.

What is wrong with the Tahs

Shirly, Foley has to be demoted after tonight (and last week)! I don't buy into at all this talk of coaches being scapegoated for poor player performance. Look at how much of a difference the coaches have made at the Reds and Brumbies. Last year a star studded Brumbies were abysmal without a...

    Kurtley gooooonnnnneeee

Foley, Mogg and Morahan are other possibilities for 15, but I think Mogg and Foley are too green to be thrown in at against Wales, although maybe Foley off the bench. Morahan has been in excellent form in past few weeks for the reds, but I don't think he is an international player. Maybe...

    9. Genia 10. Cooper 11. Ioane 12. Barnes 13. McCabe 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Harris With thinning no. 10 stocks, I think Cooper should be called up against Wales. I would rather see Barnes outside of him at No. 12, certainly not McCabe. During the world cup QC (Quade Cooper) seemed to play much more confidently the...

    Current Wallabies team!

Assuming no injuries I'd go for 1. FatCat 2. Moore 3. Kepu or Palmer against teams with dominating scrums 4. horwill 5. Pyle 6. Elsom - I don't understand all the anti-love for him, Friday night in his first starting game for ages he had a huge impact for the 'Tahs 7. Pocock 8. Higgenbotham 9...

What is wrong with the Tahs

I think the original question is a very good one. Last year, and maybe this year to some extent the Tah's have been unlucky. Last year especially, I wanted to hate the "tah's until I realised that almost every aussie player I liked was playing for them (FatCat, TPN, Burgess, Kepu, Palu...

Im pretty sure this is lame

My first though when I looked at the picture... Yes, it's pretty lame. But then my second thought was that there might be something more behind this. Maybe this was drawn some cool, cherished, rugby supporter!!! Someone with no artistic ability, but with Rugby obsessions and maybe even...

Rebels vs Crusaders Rnd 12 Super Rugby 2012

Is this for real!! I just saw the score on Planet-Rugby. I just spent the entire day right beside a pub that was showing the game, but didn't want to go inside and face the humiliation! Now I am kicking myself for not watching this upset. Well not really, but I think I'll go out and try...

    Waratahs vs Reds - Round 1 - 2012R01

The thing with that kick at the end is that it seems to be common practice. The commentators are talking about he needed to kick it out, but why give the ball back to the opposition at all with a minute to go. The Highlanders did the same thing in the previous game, kicking into the corner...

    Watching Super Rugby On-Line

Any source available overseas? I used to subscribe to SportZone until they lost their rights to distribute rugby. I assume for us in the other 90% of the world where it is unprofitable to show the game there is no sanctioned way to watch them?

    Brumbies V Force Round 1 - 2012R01

Strange game. Very strange game. Before the game you'd have said the Brumbies had a huge advantage at the scrummage based on their front row, but that the force had a small advantage at the line out and should have absolutely anialated the brumbies at the breakdown. In fact, I thought both...

2011 IRB Player of the Year

Between Kaino and Nonu for the winner.

2011 IRB Player of the Year

I think people are being overly harsh on Weepu. He's a fat fuck, but a bloody good one. I've thought his form in the trinations and RWC has been immense. I think it's pretty much his form that has made the loss of Carter a managable loss. I'm surprised SOB didn't get nominated ahead of the...

    3-2-1 vs Wales

    3. Cooper/Barnes (1.5 points each, works out fair, and I think Cooper deserved some points for how dangerous we were looking while he was on the field) 2. McCalman 1. Slipper

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

i think the pairing complements each others strengths. Barnes can often be a little to conservative in attack, but sometimes that is what is needed. When Barnes came on outside of Quade against the AB's and tonight, Quade seemed to settle down and play far better. Possible because he didn't...

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

Agree completely. I seem to be the only one, but I thought we played as good or probably better against the all blacks than against SA. Their level of intensity was was incredible.

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

I don't think anyone would argue with that. Genia is obviously our first halfback. But with 10-20 minutes to go, a fresh Burgess looks more dangerous than a tired Genia against tired defense. He will be missed by Australia (I hope he's only gone for a year) and NSW.

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

Although to be honest, Deans has been picking McCalman to much criticism on this site. Also the Barnes/Cooper axis looked very dangerous in the first half. Australia looked less dangerous when Cooper came off, but Barnes played superbly, having the two points of attack MUST be our inside...

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

Well done Australia. A very good result with so many of the first line players out (fat cat, the entire starting front row, Mitchell, Beale, Cooper, Elsom, Palu) against a very, very good Welsh team that really should be playing in the final Sunday.

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

Yeah. I think he probably should have been brought on with 15 minutes in a few more of our big games. He is very dangerous against a tired forward pack and hungry in defense.
