    Super Rugby Predictions 2014

My predictions are 1. Sharks 2. Chiefs 3. Brumbies 4. Crusaders 5. Stormers 6. Waratahs 7. Blues 8. Reds 9. Cheetahs 10. Rebels 11. Highlanders 12. Hurricanes 13. Bulls 14. Force 15. Lions I think our conference looking quite competitive this year is going to be bad for our top teams and it...

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

I think you might go blind if you closed that one eye.

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

On a different note, what the he'll is going on with our collection of the high balls? Being allowed to bounce once in the odd and very occasional game is one thing, but this is the third game in a row where there seemed to be no communication and every second high ball was allowed to bounce...

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

Amen to the first part of that. I'm glad McKenzie decided to 'dumb' down the game plan a bit and kick it out of our 22 instead of running it... That said, I feel a bit of sympathy towards Link. He has taken over the reigns (spelling?) at the same time as the new scrum laws have taken effect...

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

I agree, I thought he did extremely well and really stepped up under the pressure. He got a lot of quick ball out to the backs, and obviously brought his kicking game along too.

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

I'm surprised it took him so long to make the Wallabies. Looking at the Brumbies stats he managed to top the tackling and workload stats almost every week. He's not a marketing man's player, he's just a down and dirty workhorse which is crucial.

    Scrum tactics

I'm having trouble comprehending this whole debate. I don't think there is anyone on either side of the Tasman that didn't realize that Joubert made a pretty bad mistake, it should have been a long arm to the Brumbies. Even the Indian Ocean would not prove much of an obstacle since Joubert...

    Reds 2014

And, I'd like to add, if the Reds could get JOC (James O'Connor) and play/train him as a 12 outside of Cooper I think it could be the most devastating attacking partnership in soup rugby.

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

According to SMH Link said that, but I wouldn't really trust either source, SMH because they're usually full of shit, and Link because he's intelligent enough to not admit his gameplan prior to a game. I think he is under some pressure to make the Wallabies game more entertaining, ultimately it...

    Reds 2014

Just re-replaying to the correct post. How the fuck did Drew Mitchell get in there, he was out from injury for pretty much the entire season. Shirley this must have been a mistake?

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

This question was asked earlier, but I don't think anyone answered, so I assume the answer is no. But could Sio play both sides? If not, then I think he should get the LH in front of Robinson. Robinson is very good but Sio was the form prop of the S15. Our problem is at TH where both...

    Wallabies Watch

I don't think Deans will select McCabe at 12, although he may select him on the bench. With his job on the line Deans will still have to justify his selections, and choosing a player like McCabe, who is currently starting on the bench, ahead of Lealiifano, would be a hard sell. I think...

    Wallabies Watch

I'm not sure why a number of people are suggesting Folau at 14, not even Deans would be that foolish. The wing may be slightly easier positionally than fullback, but it is still difficult positionally, especially in defense. Just look at Vuna, even 2 years after moving union he was still...

    Brumbies vs Bulls - Round 7 S15

I'm loving watching an Ozzie team mutilating a Saffa team in the scrum and even in the rolling maul!

    Wallabies Watch

I'm of the same opinion. I'd prefer Lealifaano or Barnes if he can get three or four uninjured good performances in before the Lions. And obviously be told to never chip kick it ever. Apart from his poor tactical kicking I do think Barnes is a very good player, has partnered with Cooper and...

Quade telling it how it is

On a side note. I haven't read through all 71 pages of this thread, so it may have already been discussed, but I haven't seen it brought up. To me the crux of the matter is when he stated on the Rugby Club that he wouldn't play for Australia because the ARU still hadn't agreed to certain...

Quade telling it how it is

To be honest I don't think he should, and I doubt he will be, selected for the Wallabies for the immediate future. Injury aside, after his comments I think he will have to prove himself indispensible at provincial level and the undisputed top number 10 in Australia before he will be...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

Another thing with that game is we were probably quite lucky that Nonu had a bit of a Beale of a game. If Conrad Smith had been fit I don't think those passes would've been going astray. Or maybe not so lucky,a couple more tries might be worth a few games earlier departure from Deans.
